Glad to see we got some good luck this time for a change. I’m not particularly enamored with anyone in our range but I’m sure a steal will be out there and gonna let the scouts do their jobs

At least it's 3 chances to get lucky. Or maybe two, if they package two picks to move up.

I doubt this scenario happens, but Knicks do have some ammo to move up, in that they have 3 picks plus that extra Mav's pick in 2 years. I doubt that it would really entice anyone in the top 5, but who knows.

OKC might be an interesting trade partner, not in moving their top pick, but that they have so many picks coming due, Knicks might want to rearrange when some of their picks fall and there might be fit there.

I'm hoping they take a bigger swing this draft. They probably can't get to Jalen Green territory, but maybe a Moses Moody.. if not a home run swing at least go for the triple. I think they can make a move like that with 19 and 21.

Let's not use one of our picks on a 6' guard who can't shoot...

I don’t hate it I don’t love it. I can see how he can help playmaking wise. he’s probably the most talented point guard in the draft after Suggs and Cade and his free throw percentage is a good indication for his shooting (81 percent)

His size definitely is bothering though , that’s probably my biggest grudge it’s not even the shooting part.

His FT rate would make me more optimistic if I was confident that he'd be able to get his shot off when defended, but with the way he shoots, I could swat his shot...and I'm just 6' with an average wingspan...nevermind NBA defenders. And if he can't shoot off the dribble at his size, it's going to be a lot harder for him to draw attention & open things up for his high-level passing.

He's crafty & has some serious playmaking chops...but yeah, unless he can become an elite off the bounce shooter, I don't see him getting to utilize his playmaking at the NBA level.

It's definitely a drawback in terms of his future potential but potential is sometimes overrated. If the guy can play now and you think he's got NBA skills today just go with that and enjoy it. I think Duarte can spell Bullock almost right away. I do think there is some potential as far as putting on alittle but of weight but I think hes a rotation player sooner than later.

If he's there he's a good pick. I think we'd have to move up for him (or Bouknight), which I'd be ok with.

Any fans of Sengun? He looks talented, though maybe another Goga...

I'm a big fan of Sengun. Adding him and bouknight or Tre Mann would be my dream draft. The turkish league he plays in is no joke either and I wouldn't be shocked if he's the MVP at 18. He doesn't have a jump shot just yet but he shoots 80% at the free throw line, so I expect it to be coming soon with some work. I definitely think he could be a nurkic or valanciunas type of player. We just saw last night how having Taj being a threat to score changed things up for us offensively and this kid would be able to give us more offense than what Taj can do.

People are betting on his shot. There are very few 80% FT shooters that don’t become at least average from 3. The only players that come to mind that can’t shoot the 3 but are good FT shooters are Jimmy Butler and Demar DeRozan

If Cooper’s shot comes around he can be an ELITE playmaker

Problem is that his shot doesn't just need to "come around" it needs to become elite, like 95th percentile or better, elite for him to ever have the gravity to create the openings for his playmaking. And having a low & slow shot, when you're already tiny, makes me very dubious of taking that bet.

I'm much higher on Butler or Mann, for us.

Mann is ideally who id I want if he’s on board. I like the dosunmu and butlers to but I’d aim for the higher upside in tre mann if I had to choose between any of them.

I get that, but I really like Butler a lot. He's like a more-polished-as-a-PG version of Quickley, and I would love to have two of those...
