That was strange I didn’t really understand what was not to like about him. At the very least he had a high floor.

People were salty about Melo that year (Melo was getting old and had beef with Phil Jackson). When they saw Tatum they saw another light skinned iso scorer and they immediately thought about Melo in a negative way. It was pretty dumb but that’s how they felt

It was also the jeremy lin season. that was the probably the biggest cause of the hate because a lot of people thought melo drove jeremy lin out of new york (half-true)

Awful coaching by Carlisle, lost the game when he pulled Doncic in the first rather than letting him finish the quarter and put their foot on the Clippers throat.

Wow, if KP would just follow his own miss. He would have probably been able to get that rebound. He plays like he's 6-3 not 7-3. I hate to say that because he's a special player, but he could also try to grab a few rebounds. I don't understand. He plays like he's scared to get hit.
