Trading for Rose just show's how shortsighted our front office is. This draft potentially has 5 stars (minimum) in it, and we decide to make a trade so MAYBE we could get past the first round of the playoffs. Such as typical Knicks front office move. We'll miss out on these players, then see them start to bloom as stars in the league... but at least we got completely embarrassed in the first round of the playoffs. It was so great to get that playoff experience!! We can build off of this!! Yeah, okay. As Minnesota adds to their deep talent pool with Ant, and maybe Cade or Suggs, we were happy to get into the first round of the playoffs. Typical Knicks.

Sign Kyle Lowrey or Mike Conley to a 1+1 deal. Re-sign Randle.Don't trade the farm for anyone we can sign in 2022.

Sign Zack Lavine or Bradley Beal for SG

Sign Colin Sexton or SGA for PG in 2022.

Keep our young team together and build through the draft and free agency.

the knicks shot to get a real difference maker was 2 years ago but they thought they could get kd without selling themselves to kyrie and the nets outsmarted them. there's only so many guys like that in the league and they're all situated now. maybe 2 or 3 years from now one wants a new situation. who knows. leon rose won't be here by then.

it's actually silly to think we know exactly how many stars are in this draft. you know at least one of those dudes is going to be a bust if not more than one and that's who the knicks would have got. meanwhile there will be some steals later in the draft like there always is in every draft.

Hopefully management makes some great decisions, finds some upgrades, nails the draft and we use this season as a stepping stone.

Who knows though?

Making the playoffs and losing in this fashion should not alter the plans in any meaningful way from the vision they had last July. It shouldn't speed up the timeline.

Just be smart, take appropriate risks for upgrades, and keep your powder dry for when the next star forces his way out.

It probably isnt good to overreact to the playoffs one way or another. Itll be interesting to see what the plans are and what happens.

Knicks lost because:
1. Randle and Barrett were horrible
2. Bullock has no post game (had a few inches and at least 20 pounds on Trae but never posted him up -- same reason Knicks lost to the Bulls in the 90s as Oakley couldn't post up Pippen despite being taller and weighing more). ALL players should have a post game.
3. They didn't full court press -- wear out Trae and take time off the shot clock. Who on ATL can bring the ball up the court other than Trae?
4. No center -- don't tell me Taj -- they were playing with 4 men on offense.
