Rozier
....underrated player who can be had probably on a cheaper trade than Lillard ,Beal etc.

What do you think about a Malachi Flynn for Mitch Robinson deal?

What draft pick(s) is(are) coming along with Flynn? Not enough value 1 for 1. Not close.

If the Knicks needed a guy like Flynn they can just sign Mike James of the Nets. James is older but he does everything that Flynn does and is a better overall player right now. And it would cost the Knicks next to nothing.

Yeah, not a good trade for the Knicks. I could see something around a resigned Mitch at maybe 12 pr year for FVV, but don't know if that is good value for the Knicks. A healthy Mitch is one of the most compelling centers in the NBA, we're just not sure he can stay healthy. In fact typing this comment I have sold myself into extending him long term and not trading him.

On realgm wiretap OKC was one of the teams that inquired for the DET top pick. Which means they could have dangled SGA + another pick or straight up. If that is the case, we have no chance in hell to get SGA now unless he demands a trade to the Knicks.

Simmons on his pod said he thinks Lowry is going to the Knicks. Said Leon will put a big offer in front of CP3 to see if Sarver slips or at the very least make sure his boy gets paid. But thought end of day that Lowry going to end up here on a 2/50mil deal.

Is he underrated? Or is he just not talked about much on this board this year? He is a fine replacement-level guy. He is not going to get 20+ ppg, but he will play a role and bring great defense and intensity.

What would you give for him?

That's what I always figured that was about. They were looking to either move up or get an extra pick. I think they would do SGA for Green straight swap.

If you are Detroit do you do that deal based around SGA?

As a starter he is not a positive player in most matchups. He's better than Lonzo though.

Two different broken bone, one hand, and foot? I'm not concerned about those. If he had a recurring injury, then yes.

If we keep (and extend) Randle, then I would think we are in a win-now mode, which means that Thibs is going to want an experienced PG to run the show. If we bring back Rose, which I'm assuming we will (or at least hope so), I think he's best suited to come off the bench. His minutes will have to be "managed" if we want him relatively fresh for the playoffs. That means we need a starting PG. I guarantee you, it won't be Malachi Flynn.

According to Steve Popper (Newsday) free agent veterans like Kyle Lowry, Spencer Dinwiddie, and Mike Conley could all be options.

Wouldn’t be mad at Lowry I guess .. I wonder how much Kawhi enjoyed playing with him and if that sways our chances at him surprisingly leaving the Clips any if we acquired him

OKC gets them #6 and #16, #18 and SGA.

If I was Detroit I'd ask for some future picks as well.

Still, franchise player is probably where they go.

Definitely a point about Houston or Cleveland - OKC, Orlando, Maybe the Pelicans, they could really accelerate the rebuild.

Let's say Houston did the OKC trade.

#2 for SGA, #6 #16, #18 and they'd still be holding #22,#23. 5 #1 picks. Instant rebuild if they can draft.

Or #2 for #5 and, #8, #33 with Orlando

IDK the more i'm thinking about it, the more I want to sit on my hands this off season, maybe trade up in the draft, but that's it.

is it possible to pair Lavine and Beal next season with our cap?

I don’t think the Knicks can really afford to sit on their hands too much and take a step backwards. I guess the form of sitting on our hands to the point we still are in the mix in the eastern conference is to give short term deals to the likes of Lowry and Cp3

We can add talent this year.

In theory, we can spend about $15 long-term this year and the rest would have to be 1 + 1 deals to fit a Max Lavine or Beal under the cap. We couldn't afford both. It is doable and if the knicks really want to be contenders, probably the best option they have

If we are to get a vet pg like Lowry/Conley or *gasp* cp3, it may be prudent to also get a young guard that will absorb teachings from these vet pg acquisitions. Money would be well spent in that manner.

Finals shouldve been over at this time, but the play-in tourney extended the season as a whole
