What about people complaining about people complaining about people complaining who need to stop complaining?

C’mon…I know you know the answer to that. And even if you know that I know that you know, it doesn’t even matter because I know that you know that I know that you know

Noel was not needed, though!

Randle, Mitch, Toppin, Taj, Sims and another vet for the minimum would have been more than enough!

Anybody wants Ennis as a backup 3?!

Given the direction they have chosen or the direction they have been instructed to take i think they are good moves overall.

Will it all work out in the end? Who knows. At least we should have a more complete team and better pg play.

This right here. All day every day. You can't please everybody. Obviously. People who have issue with the direction they are taking have valid reasons. People who are ok with it...same thing. It's just annoying watching both sides acting like there is only one way. Much like everything else these days.

I see then making a few hedged gambles. They are comitting to RJ and maybe another kid or two to be their draft haul. They are gambling that Randle will be better than his contract. So far...he was for one season. With the cap flexible deals....they are gambling that they can get a star through FA/trade.

They hedged all of that by not locking up bad deals. Everyone can be traded or teams need help. They can reset in a couple of years. Not what I would have done and not what was promised... twice. That's what happens when you keep changing FO/HC/direction. That's why the fan base is split on certain issues.

Hope they get us to the top somehow. It is clear as day now...what path they are taking to get there. Good luck!! I'm rooting for ya...even though I don't agree with ya.

    LFGK!

More like asking for the blueprint for an inevitable championship. Maybe even the rough draft but it looks like we got the final draft of a C paper.

This is a fair deal because

    on the open market:

20-21 Randle is worth the 5/200m in terms of production
19-20 Randle is worth less than the 4/117m in terms of production

so whoever was advising Randle probably made the right calculation. if 20-21' Randle continues to maintain or marginally improve, he will get his 200m contract after this.

if 19-20 Randle comes back he will have made a very prudent financial decision

It’s funny to me how, in general, the nba media (outside of professional trolls like Kellerman) from respectable basketball minds like Zach Lowe to nba twitter dorks like this dude who are pessimistic about 99% of our moves have praised the Knicks offseason.

But the whiners want to cry about how we’re building a treadmill team

    Randle
    Barrett
    Fournier
    Burks
    Walker

And Rose and Quickley the alternatives for whoever has an off night! PS: Noel should get traded

Lol the Bucks plan to win a title.

All of those things are out of their control. So, should they just give the championship back to the NBA because of "bad luck"?

The end goal is to put yourself in a position where you can compete. And you never know how the ball bounces. They did it and won and they deserve it.

The Knicks need to show organizational competence as Step 1. They cannot skip Step 1 and go straight to signing big-name free agents. That’s been proven time and again for twenty years.

This off-season is an acceptable continuation of Step 1.

Had they done it your way they'd have been sitting on the couch watching the Hawks win a title.

Wish you tankers could understand opportunity cost. You can't win if you're never in a position to win. It's like going to the poker table and folding whenever you don't have pocket kings or better. Odds are you're going to be blinded out rather than win.

But keep hoping for more lottery tickets. Don't worry I'm sure you'll beat the odds. The irony is most lotto winners just end up broke again. You know like OKC, Minnesota, soon to be Philly. All title towns after hitting big in the draft multiple years, right?

I mean where are the core pieces that you need to build a championship roster? Where are the Booker/Ayton/Bridges or Giannis/Middleton?

Edit: I meant eventual not inevitable lol.
