I also won the chip with Westbrook averaging 17ppg, and he won finals MVP. My leading scorer was LMA at 24ppg. The star ratings don’t matter as much as categorical ratings. It’s better to go for fit. You can be a 2 star in sim, but if your defensive rating is a 80, you can still make a huge contribution to winning games.

Not one of my players won player of the month/week or any of those accolades. However, we won 63 games, and after three straight 7 game series we took the trophy home.

Which is why I wasn’t shook of KoC’s edition of the Pacers and I ain’t shook of Melo’s Cavs. The games will always need to be played.

And FYI, I took your model from two seasons ago when you won your ring, with the way I’ve chosen to construct my team this season.

If I wasn’t gonna be able to pry legit star power, then going with contributing depth from top to bottom that fits, was the next best thing. Maybe even better.

Cavs may still repeat, but I’m not willing to just lay down for Melo. And I don’t think it’s gonna be the cakewalk through the East that everyone is predicting. EZMoney, Indiana, Orlando, Brooklyn, and I will have something to say to that.
