He's a cream puff for the most part. Solid defender, but name garners more hype than the game.

Lonzo’s been good so far. That may not have been as apparent last night. But he’s been making plays all over the place thus far. Very happy with this signing from our perspective.

With that said, given NYK’s current guard situation, you guys wouldn’t have had much of a need for a player like Lonzo. We do though.

I dont know. But if we trade the farm for a single player. He is our best option.

Thibs is our coach, we cant afford to be trading the farm for anybody that cant play at least as many minutes as randle or barrett if not more. Thats not even taking into account that having a deep team is absolutely essential to a thibs coached team in the playoffs

The eye test backs it up too. Great positioning, moving his feet really well, using his strength, etc

Add RJ's improvement around the rim so far this season, and we're seeing some significant progress

Lonzo is undoubtedly a starter on every team in the league, so I have no doubt he provides value.

But everything is contextual with him. He's content to do everything in the margins offensively.

Defensively, I have no issues with him.

Not so sure. A 3&D player that will also get you 5 rebounds and 5 assists a game is pretty valuable. And his defense seemed even above normal 3&D status, elite defense.

He didn’t shoot well against us and will have a tough time against good defense, he seems worthy the contract though. Not overpaid or underpaid, valued just right.

There were people here who wanted him BEFORE Kemba became the option.

Even though Fournier would have mitigated the need for a penetrating PG some, don't think Ball is what the Knicks could have used, even though I'm a fan and actually kind of wanted the Knicks to sign him.

Also, seems like the Knicks are eyeing moves either this year or next and committing to 4 years of Ball on top of 3 of Fournier messes up with some plan the Knicks FO seems to be working on, or hoping for.

He has been getting some good midrange looks over the first few games and got some to go down. Hit a few floaters in this one. Can see him piecing it together for sure and getting better.

Forget trading for anybody. Let this homegrown team improve every game. We continue to draft well which will make it tougher this off season on who will be cut because we are going to wind up with two or three new players from the draft.

Love the delusional bulls fans acting like this is some moral victory for them. As if the Knicks didn’t dominate them for the majority of the game (on the road no less) and didn’t need an epic choke job to let them back in it at the end.

Their paint defense is non existent. I don’t think I saw Vuc contest one shot or fight for a single rebound, dude is a charmin soft big.

Lonzo is still allergic to layups. Passing out of wide open driving lanes because he’s a shot finisher at the rim. He’s not a point guard.

Derozan with his typical net negative plus/minus night. Trash ass signing.

SGA averages 34 minutes and I think he could play even more minutes. And the team can stay deep even if we had to trade RJ, Obi and IQ plus Noel and Knox as fillers. You only need to get some vets, buyouts to complete the rotation.

The problem in getting SGA is it will make our wing defense even weaker assuming will give RJ in a trade.

Kemba/Rose
SGA/Grimes
Fournier/?
Randle/?
Mitch/Taj

Maybe we can be even more competitive getting a wing defender like Grant while keeping RJ.

Lavine also makes Kemba Walker look like Gary Payton on defense. Hard pass on that fraud. Let the Bulls max him out.

We not getting an elite player for what would amount to a starter, a rotation player, a trash heap center, an on/off shooter and a tenth man. It starts rj obi fournier robinson and alot of firsts, dont know where it ends. Regardless it would destroy our depth.

Im definitely not touching the Bulls board lol but yes there’s no way you can watch that game and think the Bulls are definitively better especially since it took a collapse at the end to even make it a game. It was very much a Knicks dominating performance for most of the game.
