The thing that is not being discussed is whether Randle is part of the plan (willingly or not). I wonder that.

Or maybe BK with KD to Miami. Really looks like that’s KD’s best shot out of BK, they just gotta unload Simmons because without Bam, Bk doesn’t do it.

Donovan Mitchell as your lead dog is never winning you a title.
He's 25yrs old. How can you say that without him being in his prime yet?
So he has another gear to reach as a player and leader? That’s what you’re saying?
Yes. Why wouldn't he?

2 types of Knicks fans:
1) if they aren’t winning a championship then I’d rather just tank
2) myself-how about we root for a relevant team that can be a perennial playoff team with hopes of some day winning a title.
If you are #2, you get Mitchell..that team and their youth would be fun, exciting, relevant, championship next year no chance, but it’s better than 35-40 win treadmill

This has to be the next move. The SG log jam needs to be cleared for IQ and Grimes to get meaningful minutes. Fournier makes too much to not play but also doesn't fit well in the starting lineup next to Brunson. Dump Fournier, start IQ or Grimes, get another defensive oriented combo wing to backup the 2 or 3 spot.

Sorry, I respectfully disagree.
He’s been in the playoffs multiple years. He hasn’t show the ability to take his team to the next level and he has a better roster than us.
What you’re seeing is what you’re getting.
What the Knicks are going to do is take a guy who isn’t a lead dog and sell the fanbase on him being the savior like they did with Melo.

Well i guess if we really have to then the Knicks can jump in and be the 3rd team and take on Bam and send Randle, Cam and a 1st round pick or two to BK.
You're welcome BK and Miami for making this trade work for you.
Sincerely yours, NYK

Re: Knicks Free Agency Frenzy Part Deux
Woahhh if true there it is....
Now if Miami is a big threat here you almost have to hope they end up with KD if you want Mitchell.
I think there is a good chance we are extremely high on his list with all the interest we have shown in him. In other words we probably have a good inkling its not a one sided love affair lol
And think of it this way too....
If Utah wants picks it will be hard to beat our offer unless we aren't willing to pony up (which for Mitch my guess we probably would).
If Utah wants players...that might be closer if they like Bam or Herro and Miami was willing to include one or both.
But it feels like Ainge is going full rebuild mode here and not going to try to field a middling team in no mans land of a fringe lotto or non lotto pick and a team that gets bounced in round 1 or doesn't even make the playoffs.
If that is the case he may want closer to a Dejounte Murray deal in which the advantage shifts to us. This is where what we send back in Salary they may not want a good to very good player. They also may not want a long term contract...Fournier? D Rose?
Fournier/D Rose and 4 FRPs (2 of our better ones in term s of protection likely needed).
The other thing going for us is they probably would expect the Miami picks they get to be pretty low as Miami is an established strong team right now.

Why are we believing random twitter accounts with that big type of news? Utah by all accounts have said they are building around Mitchell

Dont know if true of not but there are rumors Ainge is considering going full rebuild (like SA did).
