I love that you were there and that MSG South has become a thing. I especially love Pat the Rat fake laughing courtside when deep down he knows he f’d up his chance for real glory instead of that cut-rate Miami sh*t.

bench claxton he sucks
Will the few Nets left have never-ending debates on whether Noel is better than Claxton and want him to take his starting spot?
I don't miss Noel's dropped passes though where he's wide open but he bobbles the ball so the defender can recover and contest. If not that, it's a turnover

I love Nerlens as a player but I'm willing to admit he's too injury prone to really play at this point. When he was healthy for that stint here though he did a great job

i still believe obi can be a starting pf in this league
I don't and honestly I don't know if he's even a good backup at this point. I mean he's had 3 years to carve out his spot here even as a impressive backup, like IQ did, and he's looking really rough out there lately
today is his birthday btw so he's 25 now, I realized this when I went to look up his age
sorry for crapping on him on his birthday
he's 25 guys this is who he is
he looked awesome all of last year and has had his spurts this year. if that's who he is, i like him. obviously he's flashed some rookie year obi this year as well, but i'm not really worried about what he is capable of

This was the game that convinced me Randle is a franchise player!

Knicks rising star Jalen Brunson jumps to No. 2 in NBA’s Clutch Player Ladder

Maybe New York Knicks starting point guard Jalen Brunson was left out of the worst All-Star Game in decades for a reason. Who knows, he might end up winning two individual accolades at the end of the season.
Already a strong contender for the Most Improved Player award, Brunson also continues climbing the list of contenders for the newest individual award, the Jerry West Clutch Player of the Year.
Brunson jumped to No. 2 in the latest NBA.com’s Clutch Player Ladder behind Sacramento guard De’Aaron Fox.

And rightfully so, because Randle hasn't been clutch for the Knicks. But he finally was, and in the most Randle way possible by nearly turning it over 2-3 times first.
Has he ever hit a game winning shot before? Because he definitely didn't know how to act after hitting it last night.

this year he started out hot from 3 and I started to think maybe there's some hope after all. But his shot has fallen off the past couple months. Really I'd just be happy for him to a great backup PF for us, I don't need stardom. He's never going to be a good defensive player so we really needed him to make those 3s to stick in the league

My older Brother says the same. We have to extend both rookie contracts and see what happens. Right now IQ is on that trajectory to be a young 2-way near star player and I can see him starting over Grimes one day.

Re: PG: KNICKS cool the Heat
Ok so morning after sobriety—I love this team but I’m not ready to send an apology note to Leon or Dolan just yet.
Thibs has his guys playing Playoff intensity during every regular season game, which is great for the regular season but why will this be any different than We Here come playoff time? If Randle bobbles the ball out of bounds on that last play or if the shot missed the entire Knick universe is crying this morning about how we can’t close games and how bad that will be come Playoff time.
And let’s not act like the Heat aren’t a giant cautionary tale of treadmill mediocrity that kind of looks a lot like what Leon built. Jimmy-Bam-Herro vs. Brunson-Randle-RJ is a wash IMO. Solid players but no true championship #1.
Miami couldn’t trade for a legit alpha so they’re forced to acquire has-beens like Lowry/Love and take long shots on one-hit wonders like Duncan Hines. I hope Leon does better than Pat the Rat to improve his “Mid 3” core, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
For my sanity and so I don’t jump out any windows come playoff time, I’m just gonna go ahead and assume that this is just the same Thibs/Randle regular season trick we saw two seasons ago and that odds are the whole thing collapses in Rd 1.
Maybe I’m joyless, but that’s what I choose to believe until these F’ckers prove me wrong in the playoffs, when the games really matter. I better see black sneakers and bald heads for that Cavs series.

Has anyone mentioned JB's weight loss? He seems to have a new body type from previous years. Used to be you'd be able to ID him from far away on the court as the chubbiest guy for his size. Now unrecognizable from that.

Without looking it up, I remember he hit a game winner in preseason vs the Wizards last year. I was there that game. But I'm not sure about regular season. What's more impressive is that we were down 1, which makes it a harder shot. Tie game and there's not much pressure.
