Agreed. Someone in the 25-29 age range with room for growth that can help us co tend for 5+ years is ideal.
we need to make this team stronger...and allow it to grow...

my guy could have just said he's gonna miss the next game which we all already knew
If we win today, I can see the Knicks holding OG back for the next round, but otherwise I expect him back for game 4 or 5

Mix in big shots from DDV & OG while Hart is doing his best Lebron impersonation.
And that is why we are 6-1.
Backed up by our net rating in the 4th quarter
130.1 ORTG (Best in the NBA playoffs)
117.1 DRTG
12.9 NRTG

It means Buzz's mouth is full of dicks and he can't respond right now

That's gummy dicks, for the uninformed

Don't have much time to grow.
Brunson's cheap contract only has a year on it before he opts out.
Need to maximize this opportunity right now in this offseason.

I dont agree bro...we have plenty of time...we can do this in 2 years...
We are not beating Minny unless we build this properly...
We have the money to go over the apron...Brunson was a kid with Spreewell, Ewing, etc...We just have to time everything..
Now I do agree with you that we cant waste any time but aiming to win it all next year or the year after is still ok...
and we have the resources to maintain a chip team too...

Some more stats
Knicks are 1st in the playoffs on 2nd chance points at 18.5. Opponents 13.1 / +5.4
Knicks are tied for 2nd on fast break points at 15.4. Opponents 12.3 / +2.1
Knicks are 6th for points in the paint at 47.3. Opponents 42.8 / +4.5
Only misc stat where we lose is points off turnovers - 13.0 vs opponent 15.1 / -2.1
Mix in Brunon's heroics and you got a tough to beat team despite our initial offense being mediocre. It's all these misc things that add up to help us eek out all these wins.

On the court at the same time?
(Did I forget anyone??)
I think that would be funny. is it just me? I'd love to see that. The Development-league-Knicks.
Our opponents would love to see this team.
Are you a Knicks fan? This team is atrocious.
I fear we have to see some of these guys for some minutes in the next couple of games.

Bruh when Brunson opts out of his $24 million deal after next season to sign a super max $50+ million per season contract all that flexibility will be gone.
Right now you can make moves to add pieces with Brunson's # being so low for a star player. That won't be the case after next season.
Clyde_Style wrote:sol537 wrote:Clyde_Style wrote:
I'd frame it this way. What if Donte's progression is now at the inflection point Brunson's was when he joined the Knicks?
IOW, Donte is possibly (probably actually) becoming the star SG that belongs next to Brunson.
As he is breaking out this season as a top perimeter shooter in the NBA, his trajectory to becoming a legit nightly scoring threat from all spots on the floor seems to be the trend now.
If this is the case and if the front office believes this, then the upgrade to this team should come from Randle’s spot. Flip him for a 3&D stud like OG and you move Hart back to his super 6th man role and you got something special for 4-5 seasons.
I think the backcourt is probably already set for next season if they bring over Rokas. That'd give us JB, Donte, Deuce, Rokas
I expect changes to be due to their plan for the frontcourt which aside from OG is going to be up for consideration. They'll sign OG. Precious and iHart are FA's and Mitch is injured often.
So the only certainties are Randle and OG, but Randle could be traded.
I expect some of these guys to be moved in a trade. Or not retained. Or signed and traded.
Our backcourt is holding up enough to compete, but our frontline is paper thin now.

He's missing the next two games.

Draymond is a clown with absolutely zero credibility/respect. Who cares what he thinks?

Maybe position OG in the earth's stratosphere tonight and see if the geomagnetic storm could heal his hamstring

we dont need a star player...how many star players does minny have? okc?
we need to make this team stronger...most of these "star" players are done and will only get in the way of Brunson...
And Believe it or not- Brunson is the type of person who will work with this organization and his godfather...
