to be fair...he has always been/acted like a child.

His tenure here was a roller coaster. A player that we needed at the time but also drove us insane.

To receive the quality of player KAT is for him, DD (who looks checked out) and a heavily protected first is highway robery by Leon and Co.

Just think about next year...Minny likely lets Randle walk. Donte regressed back to a replacement level bench piece, and they have a heavily protected one...while we have the all-star game starting big man locked up for the next few years.

If he opts out

I guess anything is possible. Figure a team like HOU still seems likely. He's from Texas and they need points in the worst way even if its ugly pts.

Trying to help Randle have a Revenge game by encouraging him to hijack the offense in the first quarter completely threw Ant and all of the other players out of rhythm and they never recovered.

if I ever watched a statement game, it was THIS!

Idk. As a team it was a good step but, we need to start winning against better teams on the regular. The schedule starts getting rough at the end of January and doesn't really let up much after that. Minnesota isn't the team they were last year for obvious reasons.

We were building chemistry to start the season but, we had no bench so it was hard to see the full potential. We had some ugly losses and a couple of ugly wins in there. Now we have options and Thibs has been tinkering with things since then. The results have been better but, it's only 4-5 games. We still have Shamet and Mitch waiting in the wings too.

The statement games coming against CLE/BOS/OKC etc are what I am waiting for.

As players though, KAT/Mikal really made a statement but, KAT has been a stud all year and Mikal has been playing better for weeks. Hart missing the game has people wanting Precious to start. I don't think that was the difference last night. Randle trying to win the game by himself was more of a factor. Listening to what Edwards has to say after the game was no shock. They aren't happy over there. The trade really hurt them. That team is nowhere near as good as they were.

We need as much depth as we can get with Thibs being a maniac. I am of the mindset that if everyone is healthy and we don't make any trades, Shamet/Mitch/Warren(or another vet mini) will be the roster additions we get to finish the year out.

Minnesota was 6-1 in their last 7 playing last years brand of defensive basketball holding teams to an average under 90pts a game.

And we came into their building and dominated them both offensively and defensively after the first quarter.

So while I definitely agree we need to beat good teams with more consistency I also see this as a very very high quality win.
