I dunno if Ayton would want to be here though. If I were him, I'd be looking for a team that could feature me and gives me shots so I could go back into the market after a year. Celtics on a cheap salary maybe. They got shooters, missing bigs, need someone to take shots.

If Payne returns... Bridges already here - I could see Ayton giving NY a hard look. Those were his 'boys' on and off the court. He'd really be a good fit imo. Move Towns back to PF. He's much better than Towns at setting picks, can actually shoot as opposed to Mitch (who could be much healthier by limiting minutes)

Those defensive metrics once said jokic was the best defender in the league. You can’t trust them.

Where did those specific stats that I posted said Jokic was the best defender? Lying mf

Some other ones did . It don’t matter. We need defense first centers next to Kat. And he sure ain’t that.

He can't be playing with Brunson so basically its a Kolek upgrade. Jones might be a worse PG defender than Brunson.

Mitch / Richards
Towns / OG
OG / Hart
Bridges / Deuce
Brunson / Jones

I don’t see why we couldn’t win with that roster. We’re not getting White or Davion Mitchell or even better players. Pipe-dream would be Jrue on a buyout, but that’s the longest shot.

Sure...I mean, if he wants to, I don't think we can say no. But I think it's gonna be hard when Brunson and KAT eat first. If I were his agent, I'd be trying to get to a place that sets up the next contract better. Ayton should be looking to get paid and I don't say that with any derision.

We have some of his buds... we have about 28 minutes of starting C for him in a huge market with plenty of national TV games... competing for a title in the easier East... He could do worse...

And then get Tre Mann for 2-years Tax MLE and we'd be set. (Shamet for Vet min as well). Home run off-season that would be.

When working with a tight budget this would be a waste.

We desperately need a wing with size

Ayton, Tre Mann, and Shamet... and let's run it back.

Return to New York Knicks
