Threats and intimidation. He gives favorable coverage to teams that leak to him. He kills teams that don’t. Just about everyone complies. Phil didn’t while he was here.

Nice. So he's an extortionist. He'd eat in the streets. I like Woj.

Wojnarowski has needed more than just a strong work ethic, though, to develop the best sources in basketball. If you look closely at his columns and talk to people in the NBA, you discover that he mixes his reporting and opinion writing in improper ways, rewarding sources with flattery and punishing the uncooperative with nastiness. In fact, it often appears as though Adrian Wojnarowski lets his sourcing dictate not just the topic but also the tone of his writing. In private, NBA reporters complain endlessly about Wojnarowski’s methods. Some of it is undoubtedly professional jealousy, but his body of work shows they also have a point.

Someone gave me crap about preferring the 2nd rounder given up for Mudiay instead of Mudiay..... it's even more right now.

eh it wasn't a bad move at the time to see what he has. probably has nothing, but still a sliver of hope fizdale can get something out of him.

they can fill out the summer league roster with undrafted scrubs. no need to commit tonight.
There's something about an underdog that really inspires the unexceptional.

Actually it was a bad move right from the get go. Dougie is a better player with skills useful in the modern era on a shorter contract. Mudiay doesn't have skills to thrive in the modern NBA and his contract is longer..... and still Perry gave up a pick. Terrible deal.

None of these guys in this range are likely to make a 15 man roster, let alone crack a 10 man rotation.

I like Billy Preston too. Looks like Duval and Preston will go undrafted. ...and Kostas.
It's hard being a Knicks fan...

Uh, not when they had no plans to bring mcdermott back. He wasn't being used here properly anyway. A change of scenery was worth taking a flyer on, and like i said fizdale may be able to get something out of him. Hornacek didn't do **** here. Just another coach trying to save his job.
