I would personally do the Shumpert for Motiejunas deal.

I would not do that extended deal. Yeah, the Asik situation is not optimal, but I think that we would be hurt by losing Lin without some sort of upgrade at the PG position. Not a good use of the value of those two.

doesn't harden do most of the ball handling? wouldn't a legit pg conflict with the way the offense runs?

Can we expand it to Shump + cash for D-Mo + protected 2nd? We could really use an infusion of young talent.

Trying to piece together a 3 team deal with Chicago where we take back Boozer's contract in the deal for Anthony (in exchange for more assets obviously). Their assets are their 1st rd pick this year, a future bobcats 1st round pick, a heavily protected CLE pick, and the draft and stash prospect Mirotic and Jimmy Butler. At a minimum Mirotic and the CHA 1st need to be involved for Melo. And at a minimum their 2014 pick is the cost of absorbing Boozer's deal. Would they be willing to take JR for scoring off the bench?

This is a deal that would leave the Bulls with: Rose/Butler/Anthony/Gibson/Noah next year.

But from the Knicks standpoint I don't want Mirotic. He's going to get more than a rookie scale deal which would eat into 2015 cap space when the Knicks would clear the books. What would a Shumpert/Mirotic package generate in a trade?

Plan would be to tank next year, load up on young players/assets and try to land 2-3 max players in free agency. Or sign sign 2 and draft the 3rd, freeing up money to fill the roster.

The Knicks seriously need to look into dealing Melo, Chandler and Shumpert (since he will be due an extenuation next year) can bring back in a trade. It's time to start over. The organization is in a whole for another year and Chandler/Melo are at the end of their primes. We really need to take a step back if we want to take 2 steps forward.

melo to the clips is never going to happen. can't think of any other team that could be an option in a trade. melo and tyson to the nuggets for some crap our pick(s) back would be ideal (melo gets to play with lawson) but that's not gonna happen though. at the very least chandler needs to get moved asap.

http://fansided.com/2014/01/20/nba-trade-rumors-milwaukee-bucks-trade-larry-sanders-for-draft-picks/

"The Bucks are still very open to moving center Larry Sanders prior to the Feb. 20 trading deadline, sources said. They would have to take back some salary, but it appears draft picks are their priority.

The main reason that the Bucks apparently want to move Sanders is so they can be in a position to draft Oklahoma State star Marcus Smart. Amico notes that the Bucks are very high on the guard and could use him as the foundation for the future. It’s also noted though by Amico that the Bucks wouldn’t mind taking on veterans that help them sneaking into the Eastern Conference playoffs, but any trade that involved Sanders would be a ll about draft picks."

Send Tyson to third team that could give these mofo's the picks they need.

edit: thunder have their own 20141st rounder and Dallas' 2014 1st top 20 protected

they have the worst record in the league and they're interested in smart? don't get me wrong smart is a nice player but they should have there sights on someone like embiid.

and how great a piece can sanders be? he's 25 with a per of 13 and his team is booty.

everything in your last statement is factual. However, if you watch games(I've only watched the last 2 bucks games) his impact is undeniable---even in just 25 minutes. Although he's a skinny big(not even as big as Dwight)He addresses all our teams weakness. He's young, elite athletism, rim protector, rebounder, scores in the paint and in transition. He is already one of the best defensive centers in the league and he only costs 11mil.

Unless your expecting to get Marc Gasol, I would pull the trigger on this(as long as Melo gives his blessing.)
Bargs/Sanders/Melo/Shump
Sanders/Melo/Shump would be lite years better than what we have now, I think.

I'm not gonna pretend I've watched him so I'll take your word for it, but given the things you have said, i would figure that his per were higher then it is. it's lower than bargs and he plays about the same amount of minutes.

coincidentally, the pelicans are shopping reke and gordon. :sleep2:

they've got davis and holiday too, which i think melo wouldn't mind playing with but, I'm not interested in gordon and evans for melo.

then the only legitimate/full time front court player we would have would be Melo.
Melo would not approve.
