That's not what you were saying. You were saying to offer them now, for no real reason. You don't bid against yourself.

Someone asked Chad Ford on Twitter if it's too early to talk about Deron to NYK

Not at all, working on a DWill trade column right now. Check back later today

If you trade Chandler/Gallo to Denver and Randolph to Minny as part of a three-team trade then what assets would be left to upgrade the team next summer and in the future ??? And don't forget our 2012 first round pick will go to Houston.

It's not really about Gallo or Fields but the future of the team and if we will have enough assets to build a championship team. You must think ahead and plan your next move(s) after Melo.

Lol dude, no. I wasn't saying that.

Sorry if I confused you... I meant that if that's what Denver tells us is the final deal, you do it. Not go and offer it to them.

I would give up Failton and whoever else aside from Amar'e for Deron. Even if we don't get Melo, this would be even better.

Then we agree on that part. The bulk of our debate though was saying that Gallo was useless if his shot doesn't fall, which I found inaccurate, because Gallo is putting 18 pts on the board every night whether his shot is falling or not.

Either way though, I have calmed down since then, so we're cool :D

No reason for fans to constantly be looking to the horizon especially when there is a real possibility of getting Melo. So talk of upgrading next summer and whatnot have no purpose. We upgrade our roster today and things will fall in place.

So Melo makes up for having no bench?

I would trade anyone for Melo. its evident, we need another Star. if Stat goes down its over! We need Carmelo. I would even take on Billups contract. He may even be a better fit than Felton.

I would hate to trade Fields because he sems to actually be a SG and will fit well with Carmelo.

There is only two ways Denver and NYK will make a trade.

1. NYK adds Fields or Gallinari
or
2. NYK takes on long terms deals such as Al Harrington, Chris Andersen or Renaldo Balkman.

Sleeper alert who can very well be the Philadelphia Phillies on the Carmelo race.

New Orleans Hornets

Why don't you think they gave David West a contract extension yet? David West has an opt out in his final year next year and if he is traded to Denver you know he is opting out.

New Orleans Hornets
Carmelo Anthony
Renaldo Balkman

Denver Nuggets
David West (2011-2012 opt out year)
Trevor Ariza
Marcus Banks (4.7 mil expiring)
New Orleans 1st rd pick

Knicks have to up their offer, because New Orleans might also be able to make a run for him in the summer of 2011.
