Deron Williams is AT LEAST 50 pounds heavier than he was in Utah. That's his real problem. Everything else is excuses, Eddy Curry style.

Happy New year!

He did and does chuck now that he's at the end of his career.

Deron and Billups were both really good players. Were.

Where are all those people who said we should have gotten Deron instead of Melo now? :)

You realize that excess weight causes joint injuries, do you? but it can't possibly be that... When you have bum ankles/knees, the first thing you do it lose weight, but Deron is still the heaviest since he came into this league. So yeah, it's the big macs.

There is no excuse for a professional athlete being fat. Go peddle these garbage excuses someplace else.

I really don't think Williams has added any weight...he was always a little heavier...built more like someone like Melo rather than Rondo etc...

He is at least 50 lbs heavier. You have to be blind not to see this.

Deron may have or may not have added weight, but he's still a dbag.

I wish the NBA would just eliminate the Nets altogether and let teams pick apart their roster and scraps

In super no-way-that-would-ever-happen fantasy land, we would get Deron --> PG+C (Chandler) combo would do INCREDIBLE damage against the Heat... their interior and exterior defense would just be total chaos. Hell, I'd even take the lame BKN version of DWill... his CV would be deadly w/ the shooters we have. Plus championship ringed Kidd and Woodson would set that punk straight if he ever gets out of line.

You guys haven't watched the association? Deron isn't fat at all, I think in the first episode they were in the locker room and Deron was shirtless and he didn't look fat or chubby at all. That's just his build, he's bulky.

When I met him a couple of months ago now. He didn't look in shape. He looked like a stocky dude who use to play football. Not fat but not in super shape either.

i think deron can stand to lose some weight. he's always been stocky for nba standards and have played fine, losing weight won't hurt and may even cut down on injuries and prolong his career.

that said, I think the biggest difference this year I see is his flat shot, which may be from his wrist injury or his ankle injury or his weight, or a combination thereof.

Props to Mavs coach Rick Carlisle who has been getting in his players faces and demanding accountability, that he was "prepared to use drastic measures" if they didnt step up.
Dont know if it will last all game but they handled Miami in that first qtr.

It would be fantastic if what we're seeing from Boston really is who they are and they miss the playoffs entirely. God I cant wait for them to suck again. 5 years of dominance was enough. They need to go back into the cellar....where they belong.
