A decent point guard would help.

Most championship teams are built around homegrown talent for a reason.

There are few exceptions like the '04 Pistons, the '19 Raptors and the '20 Lakers (the last two definitely a product of the player empowerment era), but championship teams are overwhelmingly built around guys that they drafted. It's an identity thing.

Consistent minutes and proper development, and yes a decent point guard.

The point of the game is to score. Randall's problem is the same as any Knick player near the rim. There is little room to operate because it is so crowded and they do not have tough 2 makers any more. This is 90s spacing but we do not have 90s scorers.

In years past, we would have lost to g-league talent. I'm glad these kids are getting a taste of winning before the regular season.

DSJr. is one of my least favorite players in the league. He looked like he didn't belong in the g-league for the first half. The sequence at the end of the half was brutal to watch. His defense and overall play was much better in the second half but he still was struggling to get downhill against fringe talent. That worries me a lot as this was supposedly his best skill.

I loved what IQ brought but I'm going to need to see 10 games before we decide he's a point guard in the NBA. I am excited to see IQ, Frank and Mitch playing defense together.

Randle had about as good a game as you can hope for from him. He was efficient, didn't turn the ball over a ton and even played a little defense here and there. He still should not be on this team, especially to close out games. Hopefully, his trade value climbs quickly enough to get him out of here.

Shades of young Barkley when he goes coast-to-coast, incredible flush on the alley-oop, low key excellent vision, and just a beautiful rainbow stroke from deep. Skeptical he has the mental game to make it in the League, but the flashes of potential are impressive.

i still don't see an nba player in knox in spite of the flashes tonight. too physically immature and unathletic to compete with men, and a coddled mental midget snowflake who belongs in a safe space. i hope i'm wrong but his issues seem permanent, not fixable.

i'm also not convinced that quickley has the body or the athleticism to handle big minutes at guard. it's pretty obvious to me why he was a projected 2RP. it's really unconscionable the amount of real guard talent we've passed up over the years, like the players who could actually help us aren't even on our radar. truly bizarre.

Ooooohhhh. "A snowflake." Needs "a safe space."

Ohhhh.... I'm so upset from reading this. I've been totally triggered.

WTF kind of description is this of Knox's game last night? I wonder why we're seeing these particular words in this description. Oh well, I'm not sure if Knox is a mental midget or not, but even if he is, he's not the only one.

I'm glad that Hahn is not afraid to criticize Elfrid Payton. He sees what we see.

And the thing is he's holding back by virtue of being a MSG employee, so you know he really wants to go off on this dude.

Payton can't run an offense, can't play off-ball, can't shoot... All he does is dribble the air out of the basketball to look for the direct assist to inflate his numbers or pass it to Randle. He just kills the flow of the offense. And of course he's a complete liability when teams play zone.

We already know Perry is hyping up this dude internally so I really hope that Leon Rose sees what Hahn is talking about. When you got MSG employees criticizing your offseason signing before the season has even started, you know it's bad.

The dude needs to be cut asap.

This is why I hate plus minus stats. Also, the kids played against the Cavs younglings so no comparison can be made there.

Randle showed how valuable he is today, pure grit and toughness. 18 points on efficient shooting, solid defense and beasting the boards. Unleash that man!

Lol, you sticking up for him with your handle.

If we lose to a G league talent... we suck!!
If we beat a G league talent... we still suck?!?!

I don't get those discounting the performance. They did what they were SUPPOSED to do! I can recall when we would have sucked against these guys...as in like last year. Glad to see the kids performing well

The thing that frustrates people about Mitch is that right now he already has the talent to be a top 5 center all he needs to do is stop fouling. But this is going on year 3 and he still isn’t looking like he has made an improvement in that area. It really makes you question if he can improve the other parts of his game when he can’t even get the fundamentals down.

I saw more from Quickley last night than 3 years of Frank, I wish this was an exaggeration. Start the youth!
