Am I the only one who is deeply concerned that Anthony Volpe cannot hit MLB pitching?

He wasn’t good last year either

Hopefully the Yanks have a few real shortstop prospects in the minors

Volpe is Cashman's biological son.

I mean this is really bad. He's a liability at the plate

He's only 23 so I don't wanna panic but damn man. Pitchers look at him like he's BBQ chicken

Rodon being 2nd in the AL in BAA at .163 with only 19 hits allowed in 36inn…while also issuing 18 walks is just….Carlos Rodon.

As for Volpe, him being a worse hitter than IKF is disheartening

Rodon has to keep pitching like this, he's getting paid big money so this is what's expected. I still want to get rid of him after the season tho lol but this seems like the same old Yankees. Guys not making enough contact and hitting below .200 , these guys need to step it up. I'm glad Goldschmit is hitting well and Rice is trending the right way. Wells, Jazz and Volpe need to step up offensively.

The concern is definitely there, I think we still need to give him time but he probably is what he is at this point. A speedy guy with power but low contact rate and great defensively. Sounds like a future bench player tbh but him being cheap helps alot. Would be nice to have a Corey Seager or Lindor type player but we have to shell out huge money for that, Adames would of been a nice grab last offseason if we wasn't chasing Soto but he hasn't been great this year so far. We have George Lombard Jr tearing it up in the minors, hopefully he's up here by the middle of next season if things go well.

Volpe kind of a throwback to shortstops of the late 60s to mid 70s. Hit .220, drive in 38 runs, field really well.
Except he homers because MLB emphasizes uppercutting for HRs

No lie, he might be the guy who holds down the position for a better prospect.
Yanks always gas up prospects so Volpe probably the latest one; hopefully there's a legit SS prospect in the minors who can, you know, hit the ball.

Lombard?

Arias?

Probably stuck with Volpe for this season and two more

FYI, we got off to a horrible start last season. Started the season 0-5. But don’t let that ruin your narrative.

Not mad at all. My team wins world series and at least makes it to them. Every year since the 90s Mets fans have been talking shyt every April and how does that end? Usually? They don't even make the playoffs! Enjoy your 18-7 start. Just don't act like anyone over here gives a shyt.

Same franchise that hangs up Wild Card berth banners and celebrates non-WS winning teams.

Standings watch in late April-May is loser sh*t.

Devin Williams really makes me feel excited to be a Yankee fan. What a blockbuster steal this guy was.

Devin Williams represents the word "artist" in "choke artist" very well. Very creative in how bad he is.
