It's not a great list if your looking for a wing.

Yabu probably there #1 target with TPMLE money but he probably gets more elsewhere.

They have had interest in Boucher in the past. He can play the 4 and can a stretch the floor a little he probably is the next best option if we are looking for a wing.

There is just nothing out there in the 6'6-6'9 wing range.

i look at it like this, the knicks need 1 more guy who they can feel good about playing in the playoffs. we have 7 players currently we can be confident in. i don't think clarkson or boucher or yabu is that guy.

I mean I don't think there is anyone on that list that would make you feel that way.

Edit - who isn't a restricted FA that is available for our TPMLE.

With the FA wings being so bad, I'd look at Nance. We don't have a backup 4, and he can play either the 4 with Mitch or KAT at times or the small ball 5.

The wing is going to need to be developed or traded for.

Amir Coffey is good and can be a solid pickup if he can be had for the minimum

He can even start and play the Mikal role at fraction of the cost. Good shooter, athletic, solid defensively

Assuming the monk trade goes through their rotation would look something like this

Cade Ivey Sasser
Monk lavert
Ausar holland
Tobias
Duran beef stew reed

Should be a tough team with more shot creation but at the end of the day it comes down to how much better can Cade get.

Lopez/Capela/Kornet are gone. Backup C market is thinning out rapidly. What are we doing?

My wishlist:

1. Al Horford or Chris Boucher vet minimum
2. Ben Simmons TPMLE

As much as people dislike Ben Simmons, he is still an elite level defender that can guard 1-4 and small ball 5. He is also a primary ball handler and is unstoppable in the open court. Him and Jordan Clarkson can seriously do damage. Can't play him late 4th.

you know we have 5.7 MM TPMLE right? All those guys got way more than 5.7 MM per.

Which means we need to act fast because the market is thinning out as I mentioned. The cheaper guys are basically all that's left.

Not sure the open court player that Simmons was exists anymore. He certainly doesn’t deserve 5.7 million anymore either. Plus giving that to him hard caps us. Maybe I’d take a flyer on him for a training camp deal.

most of the cheaper guys don't sign until all the higher MLE are off the board to see if they can get more $$$

It sounds like we have interest in Horford.

We have about 9.2 million dollars above the second apron right now with 3 roster spots left. We have the tax mle and minimum contracts to spend unless we find a trade a somehow.

1) Shooter (Shamet, hardaway jr, or someone along those lines)
2) Big ( Horford, Lance JR, Yabusele, Boucher)

Is that number accurate? We had 8mil to spend before we dropped Tucker. That put us at about 10mil. We just signed Jordan to a mini. If the cap hit for Clarkson is 2.2mil then we will be back to the 8mil mark again.

What about Chris Paul?

Chris Paul
Jordan Clarkson
Josh Hart

Coming off the bench would be ELITE!

We need to trade Duece or move him to the starting line up. Our biggest concern is a starting center. We need to move Mitch and pieces ASAP.

What would it take to get CP3? He can finally win his championship in NY.

We're really kinda scraping the barrel here lol

I think if we sign Horford, that'd be a huge win for us. I don't really think anyone else we can get really moves the needle, it's just about filling the roster out at that point

One guy I lowkey do want though is Doug McDermott. He's at least wing sized and shoots 40% (on lower volume) from 3. Again, not really moving the needle, but to fill 10-ish mpg on a minimum contract, he wouldn't be the worst option.
BaF Lakers:

Nikola Topic/Kasparas Jakucionis
VJ Edgecombe/Jrue Holiday
Shaedon Sharpe/Cedric Coward
Kyle Filipowski/Collin Murray-Boyles
Alex Sarr/Clint Capela

Bench: Malcolm Brogdon/Hansen Yang/Rocco Zikarsky/RJ Luis Jr.
