Thats just how things go with Bargnani.
Raps could win with Bargnani going off and the forum would be slow.
Raps could lose with Bargnani playing great and you'd get some traffic.
Bargs could play bad and the server shuts down. Realgm Raptor fans actually prayed for Bargs to play bad every game. So basically take anything people from our board say about Bargnani with a grain of salt (both ways); alot of it is conjecture.

to start the 2nd quarter and 4th quarters of lots of games (when melo and tyson are getting rest) it was novak at the 4 and stat at the 5. i cringed every time as i knew we were about to blow the lead we had gained with our starters.
http://www.82games.com/1213/1213NYK2.HTM
When we had Stat it was the starters who kept giving up leads to start games?
not sure what you're trying to say here. it's not even listed on there as it was a horrible lineup that only played spot minutes to spell the starters. i genuinely question if you watched the knicks this past season if you don't remember novak/stat playing together as the bench unit. i watched each and every game, sometimes multiple times and i'm not making things up here.
there was actually several complaints about it as it was going on. do you really not remember or are you trolling me?

Yup. This org has specialized in pro and overseas scouting. Not so much college.
The funny thing is, under Layden & Isaiah it was the reverse!

Those Lebron 2010 threads were chopped up. Probably close to 1000 pages honestly.

Trades can't become official before July 10th. We could've waited at least that long before deciding on anything, because teams would be signing FA's, making room on their roster, etc. All of the things we gave up in that trade could've been valuable since both Camby's and Novak's contracts are small.
And if we really made the trade because the FO likes Bargnani that much, then I question their job suitability. He's just not a good fit on this team if we're serious about winning in the playoffs.
Kneega please. If you don't want to hear what I'm saying read then read the above. This is exactly how I feel.
You don't agree with that? That's your prerogative but don't say other people are obstinate or have ulterior motives because they don't agree with you.
Bro, I love to hear what EVERYONE has to say. I ve probably learned 70% of what little basketball knowledge from this site. Now I will admit hearing the same stuff over and over is annoying when theres no progress on the argument. Bottom line, I think just as some rap fan, some of you are blinded by ur dislike of Bargs...I mean eddy Curry took 60 million from us and some of you compare him to Bargs... That's nt rational.

However, he's yet to show he can actually focus to do said things. Yeah he has the length to contest better, and he has the quickness to actually stay in front of players, but he's lazy so it doesn't happen.
Bargs was useless against other playoffs teams, too. In fact, I think he had a 0 rebound game in the playoffs. At least Novak managed to come through in a few regular season games where he went against some playoff teams.
Right now, I'd rather take Novak than Bargs because Novak actually focuses, and is a much better shooter. He also isn't a team cancer like Bargs was for Toronto.
What do you mean ?
Well I mean how he was a huge negative there, and how he became extremely hated and a big distraction.
For instance, calling the team the worst, admitting he was lazy, suggesting a trade, making the team play a lot worse, etc.
Well his team was the worst. After playing for a losing team everyone becomes lazy, especially when you know your management really isn't trying to win.

Re: BREAKING **** NEWS: Deal #done Knicks acquire Bargnani
I did some thinking and if anyone knows me that is kind of tough for me. I m a big angry rock but I can see how Bargs will help out in the Knicks system. The positives are the Knicks aren't asking him to be Dirk Norwitzki or play as a franchise center for us. If he plays his position and knows his role. Then this could be a great trade for us in the long run. If he were to regain some confidence this guy could be a nice contributor (Not franchise player) to Knicks Tape

Re: BREAKING **** NEWS: Deal #done Knicks acquire Bargnani
... and for the record, while I am quasi defending the trade, I would like for it to be known that I am not a Bargz lover. I think he has a lot to show and prove before he gets into our good graces. While I don't irrationally hate him as some of you do, I admittedly realize that we (well, Grunnie,) painted us into a corner with the moves that have been made... ((actually Donnie and Dolan depending who's conspiracy theory you prescribe to)) and that attaining Bargz was probably the best we could do with the flimsy package of a one hit wonder, a fat ex who never got play, two bottom feeding, money grubbing 2nd round picks, and a 1st rounder that I would liken to a dirty skank... While it could be good, it more than likely will be bad, and while she may make you feel special, someone else has dibs on it.
amirite?

An Amare and Bargnani frontcourt pairing on D
amare is actually a decent help defender and shot blocker. he's a bad pick n roll and 1 on 1 defender though. bargs is supposedly good 1 on 1 but bad everywhere else. yes that would be a bad pairing overall though and i hope we don't see it much, if at all.
think about this though,,, we had stat at center and novak at power forward for stretches last year. part of it was because at the time kmart or chandler was hurt though.
bargs/amare frontcourt > amare/novak front court. offensively and defensively.
We never had that front court. We had a Novak/Melo/Stat lineup but never a Novak/Stat one.
Although we did have a Prigioni, Shump, White, Copeland and Novak line up. Got dayum.
JWB I'm trying to understand why your so upset over this trade. Here it is it's basically Barg vs the pick and all the other players were just for salary. Novak was a liability, Camby was ready to retire. IF Barg does not play well after one year teams beg for salary dumping contracts like this and give up a lot to get them. Now the pick was no longer ours and we were bound to get the highest of the two. If the Nuggets pick ends up being 25-30 then they would have definitely given it to us and I'm sorry that's a 1 and 10 chance in getting a decent player. If you have a chance on getting someone who can come in and contribute then you snatch em.
People keep saying that the Knicks jumped the gun, this trade is not official and no papers have been signed. Didn't we go through this same thing with Melo? Barg was an unhappy player on a losing team, As I recall most of the stars today would play sluggish and unmotivated, look at ATL and Orlando, when things go south players are ready to leave and show their displeasure. I've played on bad and good teams when I was in the military and believe me the locker room just isn't the place to be when your on a losing squad for everyone wants to blame everyone but themselves.
Bargs now has a chance to prove people wrong coming into a winning environment, a team that people know their role, he no longer has to be the #1 option, and he gets to play with a defensive center (something he's never had) Please don't say he had Bosh. With Felton, Shump, Melo, JR, and Hardaway the floor will be so spread out it'll be hard to double team in which was our main isue last year. Teams threw the kitchen sink at Melo to get the ball out of his hands and he would throw it to Novak and get it right back because he could not create for himself. Now we have a roster full of players that are capable of putting the ball on the floor, take a last second shot, or drive it to the hole with power. This was a good pick up and playoff contending teams care less about developing players who were drafted late in the draft.

Re: BREAKING **** NEWS: Deal #done Knicks acquire Bargnani
The 1st rounder does bother me but at least Barg comes off the books the same year as the other big contracts and doesn't change the 2015 reboot. Whether the guy will contribute to a better team remains to be seen, he has some questionable weaknesses that don't quite help the Knicks where they need it but he does have some strengths that really does fill some roles needed. I'm not sold on it at all but a 7 footer who was the 1st overall pick in the draft and still only 27yrs old is the type of guy who take the chance on.
