Melo plays defense today? lol The only reason of Knicks switching on defense all these years was Melo not wanting to run. Melo is the guy that gives you ZERO effort so that he can shoot 40%, if he gives you 10% effort he shoots 30%. Forget about defense, this is the guy that asks for the ball and then makes ZERO effort to put himself in a position to receive the ball, it's hilarious.

It's unbelievable how a shadow of his former self like Rose so easily made himself more important to the team than Melo and so easily made it obvious why the Knicks were so terrible last year, by showing us what a superstar really is.

Melo is a fat ass cancer, that shoots 20% on layups, only idiots can still be eluded by those few games where he actually shoots the ball well, while giving you the usual ZERO effort in everything else.

The day Knicks trade this loser, it's the day the Knicks takes a huge step forward.

Oh and Karl didn't go personal he was actually making excuses for them.

This type of stuff is really allowed here.

It's a forum. He didnt attack anyone on here. He gave his opinion. Stupid or not.

Its not conducive to quality discussion, why did he feel the need to just type all that? He could have kept him to himself but the moment you step in and defend Melo against clowns like that you get posters attacking you.

He didnt personally attack anyone that I saw. He replied with conviction. I dont agree with him, but if you only want opinions that you like, then this forum is going to get boring real fast.

He felt the need to give his angry opinion. You felt the need to give yours. That's how forums work.

He called them "dumb thugs' to be exact. Not sure which word is the offensive one.

Seriosuly? Love Kendall Gill the ballplayer.. but he was kind of a pussy anyways. He underachieved and was a very passive player.

What are your thoughts on Bobby Knight? Who is 100x the prick Karl is.

That is a classy trio there - JR, Melo , KMart ---- no idea why George might take some shots at any of those guys - no idea.

What does JR's transgressions have to do with Melo and KMart?

What have those two done to be lumped in as a "trio" with Smith?

Well IMO KMart is a simple thug -- the entire league turned its back on both JR /Kenyon when both had to go to China for a contract.

Melo is no thug -- he is now part of the NYC liberal elite but he is tainted by the fact 2 of his best buds are JR/KMart.

Melo as a young man..

Melo as after he's grown up..

Doesn't mean he wasn't fuqing up when he was a young guy. But he's there on that first video laughing at something he'd walk away from now.

Now to not acknowledge that George Karl had at least a little but to do with that transformation is ignorant. To think that the two of them didn't have their ups as well as their downs has never played team sports at an organized level is naive.

Melo himself will admit that he was hard to handle when he was younger. The part he should be upset with is making it public and taking it to the media.

I unfortunately lost my dad at the age of 10.. and to this day I blame a lot of what went wrong in my life to not having a dad to show me how to be a man. Those of you that still have your dads or lost them after you had already grown into a man you'll never understand.

And take a look at these numbers..

https://thefatherlessgeneration.wordpress.com/statistics/

There was a lot of truth to what George Karl said.. he just didn't express himself in an articulate manner.

Where you from in BK? Park Slope?

Do you even know the context of the video? Melo did not know what they was filiming for and appeared in the Video cause he visited his old hood to see some childhood friends. He knows the dude who was talking. It was never told to him where this footage would appear. If you watch the clip there is NOTHING negative about what Melo is doing. If anything he was used by those people cause using his name in it made the video create more headlines.

Susnet park. Melo wouldn't be caught dead with a guy like that today... much less caught on video laughing at all the bullschit coming out of his mouth. And he wouldn't be caught dead wearing all red either or with a red bandana anywhere near his body. The context doesn't matter it's the perception that does.

It does cause your using it tp fuel your point that everything George Karl saying is valid. This is so called proof of Melo being a "thug". Fact of the matter this video was blown up out of proportion by the media because of an NBA player. You don't know who melo will be caught dead with. Like I told you long ago. I know the dude brother. Melo still talks to what people call "shady" don't mean they bad people. He won't be caught in the hood on camera, but TRUST ME. Melo still is the same person in that video. He lost no love for the hood or those people.

There is a reason why this MILLIONAIRE went to one of the most dangerous Hoods in the world in Brazil during the olympics and took this Flick. Melo is down to earth as it gets. NEVER forgets where he comes from. They told everyone stay away from these places its dangerous. Melo wanted to go and vibe with the poor people of brazil. You seriously just like to keep piling up on the cat. You made your point long ago but seriously seem to want to rehash to the grave.

I'm not using it to fuel anything. And all that it validates is that Melo wasn't the person he is today when he was younger and more impressionable (duh) and that he did some things and ran with some people I'm sure he even regrets.

It's also not piling on when these things have been brought up before. And they will forever be brought up.

I have no issue with Melo the person either. I have a big problem with Melo the basketball player.

Y'all are just sensitive and naive.. and the apologists play this game just as unfairly as the detractors.

Let me ask you a question.. do you think Melo makes the ridiculous comment about Jeremy Lin's contract offer from Houston if he was black? Hell fuqing no (and I vowed I would never bring this up). The dude has done a gang of stupid schit in his career. People blab that I turned on Melo because Lin wasn't brought back and that's bullschit. I turned on Melo because he looked shook against Miami and because he shouldn't have been laughing commenting about another mans money. Do you know how disrespectful that is? Do you know it's the one thing all athletes know they shouldn't say?

Look Melo has done some stupid schit in his career.. and he says some stupid schit to the media. He ain't the most articulate person.. cool.. he whines to refs.. more in the past than lately. He whines to the media passive aggressively like a little baby sometimes.

And he don't give the amount of effort that guys usually do at his pay scale both in season.. in game.. and in the off season.

Deal with it.. put me on ignore if you don't want to read it. But I ain't going to change my views. Oh well.

I have the utmost respect for the Melo the father, the person, the husband.. and the Boricua in him which I am. But he was never cut out for what people (or even himself) think he was cut out for. There was hope he could be the player that would lead a team to a championship.. but he never was. And a player of his stature most certainly influenced the personnel and coaching staffs he played for and with. So it just can't be all put at ownerships feet.. he has to take some blame for that too.

His black book was the funniest schit he perpetrated since he came to New York. Come on man..

You sound dumb. I am far from a Melo Apologist or sensitive when it comes to the dude. You know damn well I am not in these comments in all these threads like others always defending Melo against whats said about him. Im one of the last people who defends Melo against all of the people who slander or have something to say about him. I only come in when dudes be far off base. Once you said that a white coach( forget about Karl) can't be a racist at all, I knew you was faulty from that point. It tells me everything I need to know about how you think on those matters. Keep hashing your point. I said what I said, and stand on it.. Make what you doing your life mission with Melo if you choose to, keeping reminding and telling the world that George Karl is correct. Make sure you are a part of that "forever" for all I care.

Cool story bro. I could careless about advancing a convo at this point. What he is saying sounds dumb cause he trying to paint my responses as being Naive to Melo and being a apologist. Dude knows I am not.

Since I dont want to advance a convo with you. GTFOH. mind your business. Abe can handle himself.
