They both have us passing on dsjr.

If phil passes on dsjr if he's still their i may just give up on him.

lol if phil passes on dsj it's because dsj didn't impress them at all.

Or because they don't like that he quit on his team

Or because he's out here preaching how effective he can be in the pick and roll which to me is telling Phil he doesn't want to be here either.

Reminds me of Mudiay when he was "receptive" to playing in the triangle, but then was later quoted saying that he was glad he wasn't selected by the Knicks.

the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree and i bet lonzo is just as big of a pos as his dad.

Even though Lonzo has shown no signs of this...?

the chances of his dad being an absolute tool and him being completely normal is very low.

lonzo was told he was great since he was a kid, lonzo thinks he's already better than most nba players, lonzo okay'd his own shoe, ... lavar is lonzo's mouthpiece.

None of that means that he's an egotistical prick / that he is not well grounded. I can easily make the argument that Lavar's outspoken nature has made Lonzo be more reserved.

Lonzo giving the go ahead on his sneaker has more to do with his father than Lonzo's ego; as far as I know, he never said he's "better than most NBA players; and him being told he's great has nothing to do with who he is.

Whatevs. I'm back on the upside train. It's a mad, mad league we're playing in these days. It's YOLO or go home. I'm rollin' the dice on the Frenchman!

If we can find a way to nab another 1st rounder and select either Donovan Mitchell or OG Anunoby then I am back aboard the F-train.

nooooo dont leave me

I saw that too. Awful and sad, but I'm not surprised at all. Any of these guys that struggle to get it together physically or even motivation wise are probably battling depression.

i wonder how many on the knicks staff/roster knew about this, but because twitter wasn't around then they were able to hide it and tell the media something else.

Probably some knew, and hopefully they were doing what they could to help. I always look back at Eddy Curry and even Marbury. Both of those guys were clearly battling some demons too.

Sure, but this whole conversation started with the claim that Booker is more than just a scorer.

He is not.

So booker hasn't show cased great court vision his first 2 years. He can easily peek into a facilitator on the wing. Even his rookie year when all their guards went down he displayed some potential in the passing area. You want to call him a one trick pony right now ok that's fair

My whole point is he"s showed potential in the NBA more than scoring even though in college It was said he didn't have a chance to be anything more

The NBA humbles every rookie and we don't know what Lonzo thinks of himself.

Just admit you don't like the guy and move on.

My definition of one trick pony is "Steve novak" as in you can't do sh*t else but shoot so that's What you should stick to doing.

Hell yeah. It was crazy for The Balls to put all the eggs in one basket on Faith alone. The Lakers don't owe him nothing as they HAVE to pick him. Which Lavar seems to be acting like.

Honestly thats the biggest story of draft night. Will the Lakers pass on him.

There is Levels to this. Some Tricks are better than Others. As of right now excluding potential. He is a one trick Pony. Booker is blowing people away from his UK profile that he has a greater trick than was once thought of...Its Like putting David Blaines best one trick against a Three Card Monty Hustler with Novak.

If you want to know if Lonzo Ball has a Big Ego its real simple.

Just Listen to his songs. These are not Humble Lyrics by no means. He may not be his father, but he is a cocky dude. Its easy to tell just by the way he moves.

Lonzo is obviously cocky and if you watch his presser with the Lakers it's pretty apparent. However I don't see the issue with cockiness because a lot of professional athletes are. Part of being at your best is mindset, and a lot of these guys don't play at their best without thinking they're the best.

I would almost feel obligated to pass on him if I were in a decision making capacity with the Lakers. If somebody feels entitled to that from jump who knows what else he'll be demanding as soon as he inks his deal? After the honeymoon, they could do a lot to embarrass the franchise in a hurry.

Another location and you're getting him away from his comfort zone, away from that entitlement, and away from Dad. The risk is less, imo.

Lol nothing In my OP stated he wasn't a one trick pony right now. I said that's a fair statement all I said is he was "portrayed" as in drawn out to be a straight scorer and nothing else.

What i was trying to get at is theirs a different tune being sung now in terms of his potential vs the initial thoughts when he was in college.

Which brings me back to my point that just because monk is most known for scoring doesn't mean he doesn't have potential in a secondary skill

I have a strange feeling DSJr is going to drop the same way guys like Pierce & Caron Butler did, and Phil won't take him. It sucks, but I just don't see it... I think Frank is our guy, and now that he's not going to have a chance to impress during workouts or meetings with any team above us, I think it's close to a lock. Only other guy I see Phil possibly taking is Monk... I hate when reality starts to set in. :(

I like Frank, but not over DSJr. Hope I'm wrong.
