All of the possible flexibility over the next 3-4 years is completely gone. Any chance to land a top FA to try to pair with KP in the near future was just completely destroyed.

For THJ.

Enough of this.

Idk why this is so hard for some people in here to understand. We're tying up 18 million to a person who deserves nothing near 18 million. He's NOT a star player in the slightest and he's getting a player option. Just shoooooooooot me!

Nope not really.

Look there's worse ways to spend money. At least he's young. I'd be shocked if Atlanta doesn't match though. They have like no one on salary. Might as well spend it on him.

What is Mills thinking on this one, man I hope Atlanta matches, this move just makes no sense, Hardaway isn't a defensive type player they said they wanted, he isn't worth the $$$$$$$$ yet, strange move, I don't get it.

Is this a Kyle Lowry type situation like when he left the Grizz?

The media didn't even see this move coming. So you know they thought about this for like 20 minutes and offered this dude a contract.

Yes he did and he became a much better shooter. Carried that offensively challenged team from time to time.

I'd MUCH rather have lee's shorter contract at less money.

Lee's contract is 1 year shorter and he's already over 30. He also makes 5 million less a year. Don't exaggerate it

??? 5 mil less is significant! This is an overpay period.

Lee will be 35 at the end of his contract Tommy will be 29. Lee already pretty much isn't worth his deal

Holiday would have given us the same performance with better D for 1/8th of the cost.

New something was fishy.. The NY Knicks were quiet all off-season. NOOOOOO way it would stay like that. The Knicks just cannot help themselves but he an absolute joke of an organization.

Cap space can be used to bring in good players who become assets or can be used to take on bums while getting an asset....we use it straight on bums that we are stuck with for years

Except Tim isn't a bum anymore...

This is the same jackasss that cost use draft position before by making shots in meaningless end of season games. So in addition to ruining our cap flexibility which would allow us to accumulate assets by absorbing salary (see Boston trying to unload players), we also have a guy that will ruin our tank and take away mins from our young players.

So yea it's awful, a rebuilding team doesn't just overpay a role player on a 4 year contract. It's a big **** you to the fan base and a short sighted move to win a few more meaningless games.

NBA is a offensive league now. You accumulate shooters and hope they stay hot. Timmy is a shooter
