The smokescreen makes sense if
Kd is pushing us to give him kyrie
We said: you come. We don’t want u with kyrie, well give u a different max cat
Kd says: no. I’m not coming without kyrie
Knicks say: we don’t believe you. Other players fit better
Kd says: then I’ll go to nets

Blame Kyrie? It's not that simple, Boston

Don’t be so quick to make rash judgments about a player based on the fan narrative

On Jan. 9, the Celtics blitzed the Indiana Pacers at home, then flew out that night to Miami, arriving at the team hotel after 2 a.m. on Thursday. Boston was set to play the Miami Heat that night, but, team sources said, that didn't stop some of the young players from heading to South Beach, where the clubs stay open well past 5 a.m. It's not uncommon for NBA players to go out when they're on the road, but Irving was irked teammates decided to do it in the middle of back-to-back games.
The Celtics ended up submitting a lackluster effort in a 115-99 drubbing at the hands of the Heat.
During a timeout in that game, a testy exchange between Brown and veteran Marcus Morris, who was angered that Brown didn't hustle back on the defensive end, was captured on video. Morris admonished Brown to "play harder" and shoved him before Marcus Smart quickly intervened.
Reporters clamored to ask Irving about it after the game, but he had disappeared. After nearly 30 minutes, he was found shooting baskets on Miami's practice court, hoping some of his teammates who had played so poorly might join him.
None of them did.
By the time Irving returned to answer media questions, most of his teammates were gone. Asked to explain why he felt compelled to engage in the postgame session, Irving said, "I just wanted to feel good going into the next game. We're staying over in Miami, so I'd rather be in here than be out in Miami right now."

Y'all just continue to fall for the trolling, when you should just ignore the hell out of him. Same goes for Frank Isola and Bondy.
Then he's a sucker MC (well-put Bob Ross) for even accepting to play this role, because this character is downright pathetic.
Did you listen to him on the Zach Lowe podcast? He embarrassed himself and I doubt that he was playing a character then. He's the typical "thinks he smarter than he really is" type of guy.

Re: Offseason Thread: Sunday Funday can't come fast enough
Irving is intent on living in the New York area and a person close to the All-Star point guard says he prefers the Brooklyn Nets over the Knicks because he has concerns about Knicks’ management, including ownership.
Durant is a tricky one, because not signing him may be the smarter play. He’ll likely miss all of next season and when he returns he’ll be 32 years old and coming back from a major injury. And who even knows if Durant would have trust in the Knicks’ medical staff to spearhead his rehabilitation. The Knicks recent track record with injured All-Stars – that would be Kristaps Porzingis – has been spotty.
Durant needs a good medical team next season more than he needs a strong supporting case. Leonard had both in Toronto. Coincidentally, the physiotherapist credited for helping Kawhi regain his form and manage the regular season under a “load management” plan is Toronto’s Alex McKechnie. That would be the same Alex McKechnie that Phil Jackson wanted to hire when he became Knicks president.
McKechnie had worked with the Lakers when Jackson coached there and the two grew close. However, Dolan wouldn’t allow Jackson to hire McKechnie, who would have been in charge of the team’s medical staff. So McKechnie, who viewed the move as a demotion, passed.
It was a minor disagreement at the time but it had major ramifications. It was also an example of Dolan interfering to the detriment of the franchise. Last week, in what should have been an innocuous celebratory press conference for first-round pick RJ Barrett, became its own unnecessary controversy when the Knicks were fined $50,000 by the NBA for not allowing the New York Daily News to attend.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

I honestly think he's just playing a character.
Sadly it's what sells and gets ratings and clicks.

Monk? Lamb? Bridges?
Lamb is a URFA but he really stepped up last year and was pretty good. Now it was his contract year so did he only step up for that is the question. I like him though and has good length.

The Golden State Warriors will offer Durant a five-year, $221 million max contract and prefer to keep him. But the Warriors are preparing plans to pivot and potentially work with Durant on a sign-and-trade if he decides he wants to leave the franchise and sign elsewhere.
The Warriors could create a $37.6 million trade exception if they sign-and-trade Durant, though they might have to incentivize the receiving team to comply. The Warriors could use the exception in sign-and-trade deals with free agents.
maybe they give up their 1st for the trade exception
That would be a very interesting idea. Only downside is that it would also get KD his 5th year, which I don't love the idea of the Knicks giving him that.

He's absolutely not a SG.

No, it wouldn't. That's not a thing anymore.
