I think that what we need to be relevant again is a point guard who can shoot the three and a power forward/center that can shoot the three as well. We already have the role players we need in backup defensive specialist Frank Nitlikina, three point specialist in Wayne Ellington, sf in RJ Barrett, center in Mitchell Robinson and bring up Wooten from gleague for backup defensive specialist as well as putting Payton as our backup pg. what do you guys think? I would get rid of everyone else other than Julius Randle because of his contract and make him a backup.

Quarantine thoughts: it'd probably be a lot of fun to bring gallinari back on a redick-style 1 year deal.

[He'll never get hurt again. Be quiet, injury history.]

with the Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert realationship on the fritz what would a realistic offer to get Donovan Mitchell a Knick?

I don't think they'd want anything we have but playing along, if I'm Denver it starts with Mitch or RJ (or both) and 2 or 3 frp.

Whoops, meant Utah. All those empty Red State teams seem alike!

That is WAY too much to give up. 2 or three fps? No way!

I know, but if I'm Denver I'm playing hardball.

Meant Utah but they feel like the same team in the vast nowhere between LA and Chicago.

Should center around a Frankie, DSJ, Knox, filler, picks for Mitchell and take on Conley's contract.

Frank and Gobert team up for a French connection.

We get the Donovan Mitchell Robinson connection.

I dunno. 1, the Dallas pick, maybe 2, if it gets the deal done and some 2nd rounders. Not sure really, if we're taking on Conley that should be enough.

begley said 3 picks including this year 1st. And one more unprotected.

so most likely

2020 1st
2021 1st unprotected (knicks)
2023 Dallas 1st top 10 protected

that is the minimum if RJ or Mitch wasn't included.

I am not sure if Begley is really that accurate when it comes to reporting info since he has left ESPN tbh. I think Woj was his source at that time. I don't think he's said anything that has been true since he left ESPN. Correct me if I am wrong though.

I'd rather just keep the picks

Is Utah trading Mitchell instead of Rudy?

Nah, they'd dump Gobert's ass if anything. He's also the guy who touched the mics...

I am curious to see what the value holds for a top pick on the draft.
Last draft we really didn’t explore any trade talks
What young future star is out there that the Knicks could build a package for around a top 3 pick?

Ha! That’ll be the first thing that happens and it’ll be his back just for spite.

Tim Hardaway Jr is about to come into his own. :)

Frank, DSJ, Knox hold very little value. Filler and picks is not getting it done.

RJ Barret would be going.
