It looks like he lost a lot of weight and stopped dying his hair.

NBA fans have been so persistently dumb about the KP trade. Only now are they even beginning to get that the Mavs played themselves. The reality is, the Knicks could have gotten literally nothing in return for KP and I would still consider that trade a win. KP didn't play a single minute for the Mavs on his rookie deal. They essentially gave us two firsts to cut the line to paying him 150 million. His contract is the kind of contract you wind up having to send assets to dump. So yeah -- to not have to waste more time thinking we were going to build around KP then wishing we could find someone to take his contract when it was clear he wasn't going to be healthy, literally nothing would have been a more than adequate return in a trade.

I have to correct my misinformation - Timmy is actually shooting really well this year. I thought he was basically trash but he's above 40% from 3 and good from the field.

I def think Cuban will be particularly aggressive to make sure he doesn't give us a good pick. So I think he'll do whatever is possible to make the playoffs pretty much.

Mavs can't really do anything except dangle Porzingis for another large contract and hope it fits better.

Why tho, the warriors just beat them by like 50

Because Oubre just dropped 40 randomly... he and the Warriors were struggling really bad to start season.

Oubre was a top 5-7 pick prospect in HS though, I think he's a late bloomer and can be an All Star one day, Warriors are lucky to get him on the cheap.

it wasn't really randomly though, he just took advantage of historically bad defense and certain players who are very bad on defense

Yeah but who knows, maybe you can get a good shooter and a pick or something.

Porzingis playing defense like he was in a horrific accident that cost him his legs, and then became a massive human-interest story as he worked his way back with cutting edge prosthetics, against all odds and everyone saying it was impossible, to sign a 10-day and become the first double amputee to play in an official NBA game. Like, after one of those lowlights I kept expecting Carlisle to call a timeout, sub him out, and have him leave the floor to a standing ovation and hugs from both teams, while acknowledging all corners of the arena before play resumed.

"You know, Marv, it's a miracle that he's even walking, much less playing in an NBA game tonight. What an incredible story of courage and perseverance. I hope tonight brings him some closure."

You can't front, Randle has been nice on defense. He's been doing a great job switching onto guards. I remember he used to do that on the Lakers a lot.

Is there anything KP is better at than Randle?

It's not defense, as demonstrated above.
It's not 3pt shooting, because Randle shoots 39.6% from 3 and KP shoots 32.5%
It's not assists, because Randle gets 6 per game, KP gets 1.2.
It's not rebounds, Randle gets 10.9, KP gets 8.2
It's not PER, it's not Offensive/Defensive/or total win shares, it's not offensive or defensive box plus minus. it's not true shooting percentage, it's not field goal percentage.

literally the only thing I can find is that KP is shooting 84% from the line to Randle's 80%

KP sucks. Heist of the century.
