I like the signing in a vacuum because he has the makings of a long term starting center, but signing him with Mitch would be committing over 20 million (based on assumed prices) to centers and obviously would block Sims playing time this year.. At least Hartenstein is young as well

Wasn't he supposed to be the centerpiece in the Melo to Houston deal in 2017?

Would be ironic if we sign him because we're moving on from Mitch, who was a throw-in 2nd rounder in the actual Melo deal.

Its one thing to hate RJ, but to hate Bertolli oil and peanut butter and jelly is crossing the line.

Or they could spend more at center and try and acquire Deandre Ayton.

This.. get actual difference makers please.. not that Hartenstein is a bad player at all.. but I’m tired of these nickel and dime type moves

Hartenstein just a role player. Doesn't move the needles. Do not do.

Ayton just a very expensive role player.

Looks like we are sniffing around centers big time. Is it to complement Mitch or replace him. We obviously know that Mitch has strenghts but his weakness doesn't allow spacing and that's a problem. Neither does Noels. If we can get a big who can shoot to keep the defenses honest that would be huge.

Give Sims a chance to play.

We have young players as backups. We don’t need to sign more role player backups. Give our own guys a chance to play. We’re not winning anything so at least develop guys.

Leon really trying to save his job by going all in for a 10th seed.

Because every time they pivot they create an even bigger mess. Maybe not doing anything is the best route. They should just collect draft picks and tank and stay away from trades and free agents

Collecting draft picks involves making moves

So does trading them away to clear cap space from bad signings. Running in circles is making moves too bad we aren’t going anywhere
