These injuries are killing my optimism. I hope we hear something by Friday.

And Embiid is expected to return this week... whoa mama (Spurs announcer voice) this meniscus takes a year to recover then suddenly only 3 months now lol

Meanwhile it takes Randle and OG 3 seasons to come back

It's not a smart decision, so I wouldn't put much stock in what the 76ers are doing. Doesn't take a psychic to predict Joel going to get hurt within a couple of games.

Desperate teams do desperate things, just hope they don't do too much longterm damage to Embiid.

Nah, it fits the timeline for his injury, Jimmy Butler had a tear in 2018 and missed 17 games, CP3 & Bledsoe had in season surgery for the same injury and missed 2 months.

Butler and CP3 do not have the injury history of Joel. But that's not where I'm getting at. The current 76ers roster is going to look different come the '24/'25. Doesn't make sense to bring him in for the hope of a 1st round upset. Hell, I don't even know if they'll make it out the play in.

i hate when people say "i had that injury too" and act like since like it was no big deal for them it's the same thing as a professional athlete. it's idiotic.

I had that too.

from olympic lifting. anytime I snatched over 80% I would wake up with tennis elbow

unfortunately it takes years to build up tendon strength but it can be managed. the trick is to identify it early as tendon overuse and manage it right away and theres a good chance you'll miss no time while still being able to go 100% effort.

but if u let it worsen, you can get to a situation where you need to completely sideline yourself and can only do re-hab.

For real. Probably not bad for Marc Berman and his weekend racquetball games at the local fitness center.

But professional players have to be close to 100% each night. If it's anything less, it shows.

This is the wisest choice. We already know OG fits like a glove. Knicks will just have to make the rest of the season without him.

If they want Mcdyess 2.0, yes
