That’s a positive way of looking at the playoffs.

So who’s going to the bench?

Hart?

Mitch, KAT, OG, MB, JB with Hart, McBride, and Precious off the bench?

I think at this point you would have to bench Bridges unfortunately.

I agree but that’s going to hurt our bench energy. Bridges is not the type of player you sit on the bench and expect him to improve. Hart, on the other hand, can do it with no problem.

I wouldn’t mind keeping Thibs around but in a limited role as a big man coach. But as the head coach he is no bueno.

I love Mitch. But how is He gonna change the 3pt defense? Or the absurd "Self inflicted wound" lineups?

It's the coaching man... It's the coaching.

Even #1 Thibs apologist Macri has flipped on his boy...

It's time.

Just turned off the game after one quarter

Anyone still defending this

Clown may be too much, probably a guy who is too old to adapt the new things. :-?

If players start to doubt or even quit on him then it's all over. But I agree to give him this playoff before bringing in our next coach.

Here’s the Catch22 with Thibs:

A) His system requires a shot-blocking big all 48 minutes;
B) KAT is a center

Therein lies the permanent rub. The only way Thibs and KAT coexist is if we play a bonafide rim protector up front at all times.

Considering the roster construction, it seems easier/more likely to simply replace the coach with somebody who knows how to win without a shot blocking big on the court.

That said, a healthy Mitch saves Thibs’ ass.

They quit on him weeks before the ASG

Don't let the record deceive you. They are checked out for long stretches every game. Many recent victories were much closer than earlier in the season. KAT or Brunson getting hot in the 4th doesn't work against the actually good teams

All of the starters have been in and out of focus for a while. They have all exhibited signs of going through the motions.

It looks like the best thing possible is about to happen
KAT is out for the next few games
He can rest
We drop to the four seed with the losses and can face the Cavs instead of the Celtics in the second round. This is the absolute best thing.

This is the absolute best thing for us to prolong our playoff lives
