Watched some "highlights" too and he was moving like wingo out there. Shufflingand wasn't even jumping. Couldn't slide a piece of paper under his vert.

it's funny because i heard someone in the media say that the sixers might be being overlooked right now but this man is never gonna be the same. it is sad. work hard for something and your body betrays you through no fault of your own. fans are kind of dicks when this kind of thing happens. like you wouldn't do it to someone with some other medical issue. "he got cancer, he must be real weak" see, that sounds crazy

Edgecombe might be the real deal for the Sixers at least

Yeah but gambling is very similar to drug addiction does affect everyone else around you. I’d be less worried about it if people still had to go to a casino to gamble but with Silicon Valley perfecting getting us addicted to their apps and adding another addictive element all in you’re pocket I’m worried we’re going to have an opioid crisis level situation with sports gambling.

The Russell Simmons move is the smartest move. He didn't even wait for them to start an investigation, he was OUT the second he saw he twitter thread.

Everyone has their day in court. I'm more interested in hearing Billups side of things. FBI's creditability has been shocked to hell and back and hell again.

VJ wooow... I think Sixers got themselves a superstar... very competitive spirit really reminds me of Jimmy Butler... the way this goes the organization and the fans are gonna quickly move on to build around him, and if Maxey can't coexist he can be traded too... Embiid and George done turned into role players lol...

Never pull down players' legs when they're airborne... karma works so quickly on Embiid

According to the general board Billups was arrested for illegal poker and not sports gambling. So I’ll get off my high horse about my thought about sports gambling now

Edit: the athletic is reporting it’s connected to a sports betting probe. So who knows what’s going on.

Charles and other former NBA players said Embiid needed to take his conditioning more seriously and he waited too long to fix the issue.

i'm not saying it's a great situation but criminalizing them is not the answer to me just like drugs. drug addicts don't need jail, they need rehab. a lot of them need mental health counseling. if you want to get high and you're not committing other crimes to support your habit, i don't view you as a criminal. you've had people locked up who aint even addicts, they're just out partying or whatever and got caught with enough to make it a felony. there's no easy solution to these kind of issues unfortunately.

If anything jail turns addicts into criminals cause they get locked into the system with fines, a record and it makes it harder to get a job.

Apparently this investigation was underway before Kash Patel took over.

I can't help but think that Gilbert Arenas' arrest is connected to this. Dude was dealing with the Israeli mob.
