Don't want Gallo back...too many injuries and Lee's defense makes Amare look like a young Ben Wallace in comparison.

Novak makes 3x more than THJ. THJ can also do more on the court. Good thing your not the GM, but this is 100% the kind of move the Knicks would make

such as? He's not doesn't really rebound, isn't a great passer or and can't defend? As far as salary, that is why I said I'm no GM, just a fan who isn't very knowledgeable about salaries and the cap. I just think he would fit well in the triangle.

Hardaway is a very good transition player in the open court with his speed and athletism. Hardaway is also a young player with some potential upside while Novak is a know commodity.

I really can't argue with that at all. I've just given up on him like I did Shump but, maybe he deserves a 3rd season and a chance at redemption Maybe the extra bulk affect his shot. Lets hope your right about keeping him.

nothing wrong with giving up on him. But there's a difference between giving up on a guy and trading him for say the 38th pick and turning him into an inferior player making 3x as much money.

I think Tim would really benefit from going to a better organization and being on a team with more vets. He's got good size and athleticism and should be able to develop into a dependable reserve SG with good coaching.

I didn't really didn't mean it when I suggested a swap. Even in my ignorance of salary, I know that isn't smart or do-able. I just think Novak would fit very well and isn't he on the last year of his contract? That would free up more money for 2016 if we were able to move him for bit pieces.

Do you at least think bringing back Novak on the right deal would be a good idea? I think he'd fit very well into the triangle.

Maybe Lillard can force his way here if POR is going rebuild:

NYK: Damian Lillard
POR: Kris Porzingis, 2018 1st rd pick, and Langston Galloway

Portland is not letting Lillard go.....too young and too good not to be part of their rebuild.

With the rumor that West is signing along with Monroe... I think it's really imperative that we reach out to Carroll, especially since Matthews is asking for the moon and D. Green is likely to sign with Dallas.

This is a start:
Galloway
Carroll
Monroe
West
Melo

Zingy
Grant
Smith
Early
Amundson

Won't win you a title, but I don't think this team will lose 60 games either.

How much are we paying those free agents? I feel like we can only get 2 of them.

I wonder what Philly will do with Noel, or Embiid?
Okafor is friends with Embiid so Noel might be the odd man out?

Philly still needs a point guard right?
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=pnzz3rc

doesn't make sense for Philly but it worked, what if we packaged Calderon with a pick?

With all those picks the Celtics have if I were Philly I would start there.

Okafor for Porzingis and Grant? I know everyone is falling in love with Grant, but considering all we did was trade THJR, it seems fair.

Before the draft, if all it took was #4 and THJR to move up one spot, everyone would have taken that in a heartbeat.

I was thinking about this too. Kris and Jerian would fit Philly nicely. We get the more NBA ready Jah.

IDK if I would do it though. Really dig our draft and I think we will get Monroe in FA, who's similar to Jah.

Galloway / Jose / Jerian
D Green or Carroll / Schved or Ledo
Melo / Early / Thanasis
Zingis / Amundson or whoever
Monroe / Aldrich

The makings of a foundation. One that will continue to be added to next summer. A few more vets are needed, but West is too old for me and will be too expensive. Zingis is the best fit next to Monroe in this draft, even moreso than Towns, and makes a Monroe signing more tolerable. Thanasis could potentially be a nice forward partner alongside Kris in an Aminu type role too.

LMA and Gasol aren't coming, so Monroe makes some sense. With the cap rising this team just needs talent. A 16/10/3 twenty five year old big at the young max who could really flourish in the triangle isn't so bad. Guys like Robin Lopez, Koufos, Ed Davis, and Amir won't be much cheaper. DeAndre would be sweet, but don't think he leaves either.

So David West would be great leadership wise, but he is just to old to contribute big time especially for a price that will be to high. I know Monroe isn't the best defender, but you can't argue that he is young, a great passer and a post player that you just need to run the triangle. When i could chose between an old man at maybe 10mill and a young guy at about 15mill (whos tradable at all times) I think it's relatively simple.

OKC is starting Enes Kanter next year who's defense is worse than Greg Monroe's so the way I see it its all about emphasizing team defense above all else.

We can find our version of Ibaka, who's defense is overrated BTW

another vet Big and guard---only b/c your team is way too young to win, but yeah, We need elite and experienced defense in the front and back courts.Jordan and Carroll would be great.
