Alex Kennedy: The New York Knicks may have reached a decision on Jeremy Lin, but they haven't contacted his camp

Not saying the knicks are mtching cause I'm sure it's over, but the knicks are going to tell howard beck but not the rockets or Lin?

We had veteran defenders, defense was a huge part of our success.

Making the "Rockets tracking thread" once the season starts and will hype them up

That thread will be made by 12:02 Pm tonight gurantee you. People will also claim the Rockets are a better team and more enjoyable to watch despite the fact that they wont manage 25 wins unless they get dwight

The problem is the Nuggets were actually a good team, and very fun to watch.

The Rockets, if they don't get Howard, are going to be tanking. Lin's purpose there is to sell tickets and keep Houston a semi-desirable destination even when they win 25 games. And if worst comes to worst, Lin is still an asset to trade while the Knicks try to find ways to bring in more 40 year olds next year because "this is finally our chance to win it all"

Knicks dont have to tell or call anyone.

They could just let the clock expire themselves.

Have you seen the Linsanity Knicks roster?

yes and while not great, it was way better.

Fine. My original reply was to the idea that Lin would not be ok in the West. Not whether Houston would be ok in the West.

The knicks Had Jeffries,Chandler,Shumpert playing Great defense during Linsanity. Not to mention Novaksanity that went overlooked during Linsanity.

That's exactly the problem with this team. I was cheering for Lin and the Knicks. Game nights were MUST WATCH TV. People talked about the games the next day, even non-sports people. Now I don't really like most of the guys on the team and will probably check box scores more than RUSH home to watch games etc....

The regular season lost it's excitement. Only way to recover is post season success, but still can't see how throwing away an asset for nothing helps us accomplish that. :(

#1 reason this was stupid is 6 months from now, Lin's contract would have been one of the easiest ones to trade.

The Knicks don't need to worry about selling out games or moving merch, but lots of other teams do.

If a half season from now, Lin was not working out, Golden State (huge Asian population in Bay area), Toronto (2nd best Chinatown I have been to next to NYC) and any number of other teams under the cap would have traded us picks for Lin.

Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb.

I know and people will still claim the Rockets are better

Lin scoring 50 =/= Rockets winning. I wish Lin all the best.

Dolan is too much of a coward to make the call himself.

What owner makes the call.

You might be right, but normally the team that has to match normally notifes the agent and the team of their intentions. It happened with Fields, knicks notified Fields and raptors they weren't matching

Beck has inside sources close to the negotiations.

I think that they're annoyed and will probably not notify anybody. There is clearly some anger here.
