Nope, give him an extension soon. Don't want to see him turnout to be another Trevor Ariza.

A pick we got right in the 2nd round, then we see him balling out for years to come on another team.

Mitch game speaks for itself, there is a reason Knick fans love his play no matter what he says in media day. Give him some C. Wood money asap.

Kyrie already a distraction before team practices even start. Yeah... it's real cool over in BKN. KD gonna get all of the questions now. He's gonna think it's so cool. Funny thing is...they would have been worshipped in the media. Now...the media is gonna nit pick everything.

Media blackout haha what a weirdo.

Hey Kyrie, hate to break it to ya, but this is just more fuel for media to run with stories you won’t agree with.

Lol also Warriors wanted to rape us in the ass. They wanted Mitch, 8th and a future pick. I think if it was a straight up deal, Mitch would be a Warrior right now.

Also not surprised if Mitch goes to another team. This franchise does have a history of playing favorites.

I doubt this flies very far. I'm just glad it's not our headache. He's going to have to stay healthy to let his play speak for him. The Nets would have been catered to by the media. Used as a rub in the face of the Knicks. Now...he just painted a target on the team. Well done. Very cool.

Nets are going to the Finals this season. I actually see the Celtics and Heat struggle with injuries this year bc of the shortened offseason. Lebron and AD probably only play 50 games this season and don’t finish 1st in the West (more likely 4th or 5th bc of Bron/AD load management). But they’ll still get back to the finals.

Lakers vs Nets finals with Lebron winning his 5th title

Why does Obi get criticized for being 22 year old rookie when Dame Lillard was a 22 yr old rookie lol

It's instinct for some guys to copy and paste the same arguments about why a player won't cut it. And it's also irrelevant so people pretty much flag themselves as lazy thinkers when they pin their analysis of Obi's downside due to age.

I will now be representing Mitchell Robinson as his new agent.

Mitchell wishes his former agency, The Wasserman Group, all the best and thanks them for all of their efforts on his behalf during their single day of service.

We have drafted so many 18-19 year olds the past few years, that 22 seems old. But in reality, he should develop faster and hopefully by age 25 will warrant an extension and another extension by age 30 taking him to 35 years.

Lillard was seen as a ready made PG out of the box who played 4 years of college ball, and that turned out to be right. He was a starter and impact player from day 1. By his 2nd year, he was hitting clutch shots in the playoffs.

Obi is seen as a 2 year college player of the same age who still needs work.
Brian Geltzeiler: You see Mark Jackson getting a head coaching job as early as next year?

Adrian Wojnarowski: Not if people make calls on him. Not if an organization is doing their homework and knows all the things he brings with him.

Which given his propensity for switching of agents should last about 6 months.

We did this less than two days ago.

A sobering look at the correlation of age to production (PER) in the NBA.
Our roster is about 2 years younger than the league average, but not tracking to the overall league PER distribution (hence reflected in our record). The data really does point to the need to either keep accumulating opportunities to draft younger players and to go after players (in FA or trade) with higher PERs but in that mid-20s age range (yes, Randle had a 21 PER at age 24 so obviously not a perfect science).

I really wish we had looked at the young guards that the Nets picked up/resigned. Elie Okobo and Chris Chiozza. Particularly Chiozza. Hard to believe that there wasn't room for guys like that on a rebuilding roster if a contender is still looking at stocking the pool with them.
