i mean that is going into the extreme. Clearly a 6'1 guy isn't going to play center.
But to say a 6'1 guy with a 6'9 wingspan can't play some off guard. Seems a little far fetched especially if you told me who has a better chance at defending a 2 guard...Duece or Burks...I would choose duece. So in that sense Burks additional size doesn't seem to matter much at all.

Burks' role in the playoffs would be to jack up as many iso-dribble drive shots as possible during his 8-12 minutes of spelling Brunson.
Disagree. OG is not as diverse an offensive player and DD is not either -- thus Burks and Bo are getting a lot more time than you predict. Thibs doesn't care at all what fans or conventional wisdom is ... or the fact that these guys came from a horrible team and are old
That is of 0 significance to him. OG is just another cog to him, not some featured guy
Be ready for it though, because I saw Deuce losing time and that already happened
Come playoffs, he's keeping Bo and Burks as major rotation guys ... don't kid thyself lol ... they're not bit players, they're main elements
Again, dribbling, offensive skill, offensive diversity -- that will win the day with him as things tighten up
I would be up for taking your money.
OG will get exactly the same "third banana" star treatment as RJ. Thibs will lean on him heavily. If Bojan can't find his outside shot, then Thibs will double up AB's role.
We shall see, if we make the playoffs. But you saw Burks suck last night and take key shots. You're believing the full roster changes things fundamentally, but I don't think so. This is a guy with a short rotation and myopia. If he didn't like Burks and Bo and trust them, they wouldn't be getting minutes even in a Feb game at Houston
You didn't see Jacob Toppin last night did you
We shall see. Speculative obviously. But I'm VERY confident that AB will exceed 8mpg by a lot and Bo is going to be even more in the mix
Sad but true
Also, we see Burks thinking he's good and taking big shots ... he will do that even more in the playoffs, it's his last hurrah

6’0” Aaron Holiday cooked us for a game high 13 points in the 2nd half. Deuce could have helped

Re: PG: Refs and Thibs f*Ck us
Playoff minutes if everyone is healthy:
IHart (25) / Precious (8) / Mitch (15)
Randle (38) / Precious (7) / Bogs (3)
OG (39) / Bogs (9)
DDV (28) / Hart (18) / Burks (2)
Brunson (39) / Burks (9)
McBride will be squeezed out and DDV’s, Hart’s, and the rest of the bench will get squeezed on minutes. Burks isn’t in the long term plans and Bogs is basically a 3pt specialist in the playoffs with weak defense.
Thibs is going to ride OG, Randle, Brunson, IHart a lot with sprinkling of Precious and DDV who have earned Thibs’ circle of trust ticket.

Re: PG: Refs and Thibs f*Ck us
Thibs has 2 offensive plans. Brunson shoot. Randle shoot. In the playoffs we'll mostly get dusted unless those two are elite at passing out of the adjustment and the role players like OG Andimhurt, DDV, possible Bogged Down and probably Hart make some 3's.

Capn'O wrote:We definitely miss Grimes right now. We'd be able to double down on hard nosed defense when the offense isn't there. When we're fully healthy? Maybe not as much.
Bogs looked more comfortable last night.
Grimes became expendable because of OG's defense and DDV's outside shooting. With OG out, no rim protection, and Thibs refusing to trust Deuce yes we do miss Grimes right now. But with a healthy center and healthy OG, Grimes was on the verge of losing his rotation spot completely to Deuce.
With no Bojan/AB trade, the rotation may very well have become:
Hartenstein / Sims
Randle / Precious
OG/Hart
DDV/Hart
Brunson / Deuce

Could be off, not counting up minutes, just putting in some relative estimates:

Randle (38) / Precious (7) / Bogs (10)
OG (28) / Bogs (15)
DDV (25) / Hart (15) / Burks (10)
Brunson (39) / Burks (10)

let's just be honest, you never wanted him back here. a bunch of you didn't. i assumed we would end up with him for more than a month now because he was the only guy who wasn't gonna cost a 1st. i told you this many times and you didn't want to believe it. so unless he looked amazing instantly you were gonna be ready to pounce. but the reality is they did trade for him. and because he just got here he's gonna get some time to see what he can do and mcbride, a younger player, is gonna lose minutes because of this. if burks doesn't get it together it will be him not playing eventually. but it's been 2 games. it's gonna be awhile before they pull the plug.

Thibs is gonna ride OG to damn near 40 mins per and you know it. iHart is in the circle of trust and may even 30+ mins in the playoffs.

Seriously, guys I have sh*t to do today. Why is everybody pretending like they've never seen Tom Thibodeau coach?
10 man rotation in the playoffs? Thibs?
Playoff rotation is 2 centers + "Big 3" + 3 wings + whoever spells Brunson at PG. It is basically an 8.5 man rotation. Not 9 and certainly not 10.

I really don't know it, that OG is gonna play a ton. This is what I honestly think. OG will get eaten into by Bojan. I believe that fully, not trolling or whatever.

i actually question the bogs for grimes part of the trade more than burks for 2 seconds. who cares about 2 2nds. if burks had another year on his deal i don't think they do the other part. i'm not sure it's a good idea to give up a young asset because you MIGHT need a contract to trade over the summer. if burks doesn't work out who cares. you gave up nothing.
