He's just a bad matchup in this series.

Precious was wonderful. A menace and he didn't do anything dumb on offense.

Even though Embiid is a center his game is really like that of a perimeter player. Guys like Precious and OG are gonna matchup better against him because they’re better perimeter defenders than iHart.

With strong bases.

I wouldn't be surprised if he trade all the picks for him and he just gets totaled on arrival. Antonio McDyess style. Or maybe just give us 1 good year and become our new Amar'e.

I think Embiid is older than 30...

lol you think he lied about his age? MLB style?

yes...there has to be something behind coming into the league injured and after discoving how dirty he plays why wouldnt he lie...
he seems very desperate...and hevery clever for a 30 year old...something is upwith Embiid...

Embid in ny means saying goodbye to OG or Randle. So those who want embid, which one do yall want to say goodbye to?

I’m not clamoring for embiid but if the opportunity presented itself you have to try for a player of his caliber. That being said Randle easily.

For me, it's not so much about running it back with a potentially healthy Randle....But using our assets for 2 more rotational players that can evolve to mini-stars.

Leon has been striking gold with his signings and trades. If we trade for Embiid, all the picks are gone and likely McBride and Donte as well. One blown out knee, and everything is undone.

Never want that bitch on my team.

We’re not trading for Embiid lol his knee is done. He has at most 2 good years left before his body completely falls apart. We’re better off with Randle tbh

I know there's a lot of theories like this for international players in the MLB and soccer players (remember Freddy Adu)?

I'm not sure this would work in the NBA though since it's tough to just be a teenager and hit the pros. You usually have to go through college.

It's hard to see an angle for this.

Embiid would have to force his way out. And 76ers would still want to stay competitive. Getting Randle and all the Knick picks wouldn't be terrible. Maxey + Oubre + Randle would still be a PO team. And 76ers would likely want McBride and Donte as well.

But would 76ers really trade him to a rival and play against him 1 or 2 PO series in?

im not even sure they would want randle, i think they would rebuild around maxey. i can only see them asking for randle if they wanted to trade him for more assets to rebuild. but yeah we would have to give up deuce too which would suck. i dont mind trading donte, he's pretty mid and you can find players like him anywhere.

all i know is that leon would be hungry af for embiid. he was his agent and i think they still have a good relationship with each other. marc stein said this back in august
"I do believe that the Knicks and Heat are among the teams monitoring the situation because they would wish to be at the front of the line if Embiid did ask out," Stein writes.

"Both Knicks president Leon Rose and his top aide William Wesley were at Embiid's recent wedding and, while true that Rose and Wesley used to represent Embiid as player agents, it has been suggested that their attendance was 'not nothing.'"

Honestly, if it was a guaranteed 2 more years, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'd be more worried about him being DoA.

yeah i think you have to take that gamble. and im a randle fan.

this is all extreme hypotheticals though. i doubt embiid will ask out this summer. we're more likely gonna run it back with a healthy randle. i just hope we get another scorer next to brunson and randle.
