I will be very surprised if the Sixers land IHart. I am not sure if everybody realized that but the Sixers are letting everybody go except Embiid and Maxey to open cap space. They will have 65M in cap space (plus 7M Room MLE) to build a whole new team. Why would they invest 20M on a backup Center that can have issues playing with Embiid when you need a lot of good rotation guys?

Yeah I don't see the Sixers being serious about Hartenstein. They are swinging for bigger fences to pair with and attempt to keep Embiid from wanting out. If the Clips aren't willing to go supermax on PG13 (and there is a possibility they won't) then without question he'd be their no.1 target and they'll give him whatever he wants. It's more likely the Sixers look at OG than IHart.

They ended up in the 7th seed b/c of the gaping hole at C. Plus he's a Morey discovery. I think they def think about it.

OK. But now, they have a lot of holes. There are more holes than fabric.

They need 3 wings to complete the starting team and some rotation players.

Playing IHart as PF next to Embiid can be awkward. It's risky. He can end up backing Embiid for 15 minutes a night as Paul Reed did last season.

Also, they would have to let Paul Reed walk for nothing. (They can stil pick Reed 7M TO or bring him back with the Room MLE).

They're going to bring back Oubre with his small cap hold of 2 mil. They're going to bring back Lowry with his small cap hold of 3.4 mil. I think they bring back Batum for the room exception or part of it if he's got no suitors. After that we'll see how they fill out the bench.

The plan at his age is to probably keep Embiid under 60 games at the min & keep his mins in the 28-30 range. That's more than adequate time for the back up C. They simply crater when Embiid is off the floor & they have to address it

Philly isn't going to offer iHart $20m+ per to play sub 18 minutes per game... be better, folks!

OKC is the only real threat I see out there and they're cheapskates so I imagine there's a 80% chance he returns.

Let me first say I don't want KAT if Randle is included.

But.....

Prior to July 1st KAT salary match would stay at his 2023-4 salary of 36M (instead of 49M of 2024- 2025)

If Minny is desperate to shed payroll (which they COULD BE) we could send Bogdanovic resigned at 19M, Mitchell Robinson at 15M, and maybe McBride along with some FRPs and KEEP RANDLE.

You resign I Hart ....

KAT(18), I-Hart(30)
Randle(32), KAT(16)
OG, Hart
DDV, Hart, OG
Brunson, Melton

Randle and KAT is kind of crazy but I'd take that risk and play KAT at his true position.

That movie didn't have IHart co starring at Center and OG starring at SF surrounding him. Also the complement to Brunsons game is better than Julius. Potentially Julius would play the rugged PF role opening it even more up for KAT too.
