Dick couldn’t beat the KAT.
We didn't let Dick Fuсk us.

KAT loves being in NYC
I think he had such roots in Minny that it was a shock to leave there, but there's no doubt he vibes off being in Orange & Blue
Pretty much every knock against him has been false. He is not soft. Guy is leading the league in rebounding. Softies don't do that. And he's not a classic 5 defender, but he actually plays man defense.
I think of him as one of the best shooting PFs I've ever seen. He's not really a center. From that perspective, I think he's legit a great player.
Our roster needs another defender for the paint and that's not a knock on KAT.
HerSports brought up a crazy notion that we should play players to their strengths. What a wacky idea!
Anyway, I think as long as we see KAT for what he really is, a supremely gifted scoring PF, and use him that way, we'll be more than pleased with his role on the team. He's 7 feet tall, but he's really a PF. Tim Duncan had the great fortune to play next to the Admiral. If he hadn't he'd have been called a center, but instead he is remembered as one of the all-time great PFs. That's how I see KAT. We just need a legit defensive C next to him.

I was looking at the last 10 regular season games that Robinson, Hartenstein, and Achiuwa played last year.
Robinson averaged 15.5 mpg, Hartenstein averaged 27.4 mpg, Achiuwa played 16.6 mpg
More than likely, I expect Towns and Robinson to split minutes at center, with Achiuwa getting 3rd string C minutes and minutes at the 4 spot.
Where do you get Towns "wants" to play the 5 from?
He starts his game at the perimeter as much as any stretch big in the NBA and is essentially positionless on offense
On defense he is hardly a conventional center
His rebounding occurs out of all of that
Towns is also playing center regularly again for the first time in two seasons.
He played the five for only five percent of his 2000+ minutes last year; he was mostly lined up at power forward next to Rudy Gobert.
“I don’t just lose the ability to play the five,” Towns said on Friday when asked about being back at center.
The 28-year-old said his strong start this season is “just being able to do what I did a lot of years at the five.”
“I feel I’m a better version of myself,” Towns said. “I’m smarter, more experienced, I think I’m more talented than I’ve ever been. So being able to utilize that for our team is what I want to do every single night so it can translate to wins.”

I disagree about hom really being a PF. I think center is his true calling. That said,I agree with your first point. KAT seems to be a very big on loyalty and togetherness. He fully bought in and embrace the Minnesota day one and represented the team harder than anyone else. Guy would go on Ebay and snipe rare Timberwolves throwback gear and wear it causally. He goes hard for his team and fanbase. Now thathe's in New York, playing for his home team, he will embrace them 100 percent. He isn't a mercenary just trying to get a bag, he's a knight who will be loyal to a home that believes in him. Knicks made the right move, very few players on his level become available for trades and fewer will fit just as well.
