wtf are you talking about bro?? The lakers are running a very sophisticated offense that involves extreme ball movement on every single possession. That video must be A.I

Oh the ball is moving alright

he needs an extended rest then if that’s the case. it’s kind of obvious honestly watching him, he just looks slower and gimpier from the start of the season. he’s hurting more than he’s helping

Luka is a generational superstar you can't defend the 1st 2 shots he made in OT any better than Towns did... Luka lives for those shots

I really think Mikal being passive is the result of lack of plays for him... it's 10000% on the coach imo... now with JB out for extended time, I think we'll see more Mikal creating the offense, and with him getting more touches I think we'll see more playmaking from him to create shots for himself and others, I think he's very good at it, better than Hart imo, we'll be pleasantly surprised because what we'll find out, we'll be even madder at the coach, like why wasn't this happening more earlier in the season

As upset as I was to see Brunson go down, my first thought after the initial panic was if ever there was a time to be intentional about getting Bridges right, it’s now he could possibly be in a groove by Playoff time.

OG has been noticeably more aggressive, if we have Bridges coming along nicely with an increased shot load, I would hope Brunson goes back to picking his spots when he gets back and let them boys cook, this team isn’t the same we’ve seen the last few weeks if that is the case.

I really think hart needs to come off the bench also, but that’s a different topic.

he is so in between on his offense and needs to be more assertive but he made some plays last night on defense that were special...to get that deflection and save it in that situation...impressive

Well. Limped into the ASB again. Came out looking to get rolling with Mitch. Nope.
KAT knee issues.
Josh knee issues
Mitch not in game shape.
Brunson ankle just exploded.

We can't get 5 games with everyone healthy.

Good thing we get to immediately see what Thibs will do.

He’s getting double teamed in the post and he’s even struggling to seal his man down low. And when he does get the ball in the post he’s throwing it away. Not sure what you expect Thibs to do. Was it Thibs fault KAT struggled the same way in the WCF?

finch is very comparable to thibs as far as offensive system. they also lack a playmaking PG/guard - similar to us.

brunson slow walks the ball up the court so by the time the 1st action is even ran there's sub 14 seconds on the clock

just compare how Kat plays in the 2nd unit - why is cam payne able to get Kat better shots than brunson?
Brunson is extremely selfish. People ignore it because they love him and he's a point guard.

This is my biggest issue with Captain JB. He often takes the full 8 seconds and I don't get why.

Quite often he is harassed full court and most of the tine his boys just leave him behind. I agree when he is the primary we take at least 8-10 seconds to get set a lot. Is that by design? It's clear that teams are doubling him at the perimeter. Pressing him on ball every time he touches it. Throwing taller defenders at him. Throwing the kitchen sink at him. He is a monster in the end though. Best PG I have ever rooted for in a Knicks uniform. Maybe the HC could mitigate some of the pressure somehow. Maybe let the other 4 guys on the court try to do something. Meh.

its that elephant in the room that no one notices and to be honest i see everyone else just running through the motions, as if they are conserving energy, somewhat tired or have nagging small injuries

overplaying players straight up with full quarters will have severe repercussions one way or another

Ohhhh it could be a rest thing. About as plausible an explanation as there is. Because, yes, he's hounded a lot. But there are a LOT of times he could push and just doesn't. Plod plod plod and then leap over the line with 16 seconds left. That _could_ be the design to give small rest intervals between plays.

That's a bold strategy, Cotton.

thats just the only sane thing they could do really...slow paced half court offense because everyone is at half tank

but but but it also allows the opponents to set up their defenses properly
