Oh yeah, yesterday's L sucked the life out of the city's basketball souls. Everyone who had a hand in it should be absolutely ashamed. This Knicks squad (specifically Thibs, OG, and JB) let this city down. I can't help but think back to Nick Anderson missing those free throws and how it altered his career and ultimately Orlando. This is how I feel.

We got people shtting on OG and Thibs to run with their narratives. Disgusting. The team lost this game. It’s not on one player or just the coach. It’s everyone.

Right. Everyone f*cked up last night. Brunson totally sh*t the bed. Tom looked lost as the lead evaporated. We can go down the line.

So what do you do? They are so over invested in Bridges and Anunoby - who play the same position, have overlapping skill sets, and are not elite talents. There is no depth. No picks or room below the 2nd apron to round out the roster.

Short term - I would start Precious
, keep Mitch and Duce in the roles they are doing well in, and stagger Harts minutes with Bridges/Anunoby.

Long term - the Knicks need to have a serious conversation about breaking up Bridges/Anunoby for depth. But they will never recoup the value they gave up for them.

jesus

Like the **** are we doing here. Not serious people at all.

He should definitely not start but he should be in the rotation getting some minutes so he can go in there and crash the boards at a hundred miles per hour for a few minutes and give everything he has....Pacers go 11 deep...we go 8 deep...and in an OT game..

like how Pacers used Obi last night we can use Precious.... Obi absolutely killed us off the bench running around with crackhead energy while our guys were tired. It was disgusting to watch.

Since when does OBI Toppin grab 10 freaking rebounds in 20 minutes? That should NEVER happen. He simply had 100% battery life.... Our guys were gassed... we could have definitely used Precious for a few energy minutes...dunk, rebound, play defense

I expect the Knicks to come back. They always do. I feel the Pacers ratcheted up their energy and intensity towards the end, and the Knicks need to get used to it. This is what we mean by their depth…at the end of games, they’re still going to run on you.

Now we know how Boston fans felt after game 1 and game 2. The fact is we went up by 16 at one point in the 4th quarter so logic says we were the better team. But ya that's what Boston fans thought throughout the series as well. I still got Knicks in 6.

It's not just you -- me and a city of zombies feeling exactly like you said. Hell, given the spread of NY fans throughout the country, I wouldn't be surprised if the news shows from Delaware to Tokyo featured clips looking like scenes from THE OMEGA MAN. :nonono:

Exactly The knicks ran out of steam...shots hitting front of rim and an airball here and there is a sign...Indiana goes deep with the bench Thibs dont...he will run the players into the ground and it shown last night...Knicks need to work on getting a deeper bench of runners and shooters during the offseason....

I still feel optimistic. But God. We should never, ever lose like that. It's inexcusable.

After every loss it’s change the lineup, change the rotation and seek some quick fix that just isn’t there. But its always just as simple as the players have to be better and play better

If only our team had prepared for a hard overtime game by playing starters over 40 minutes a game all year like the Pacers did. (sorry, could not resist a morning joke amid the wake). :meditate:

I kept saying this last night. We have to slow the pace down, otherwise Tom needs to hold his nose and play Shamet and Precious to give guys a rest.

Yep - our final two shots by JB and KAT were nowhere near what those guys usually provide - they were gassed. I mean are we really going to get down on the NBA CLUTCH PLAYER of the YEAR after getting in the ECF for the first time in over 30 years?

That’s all it is. We had the game in the bag to win.

It's even simpler - score more than the other team. We don't even have to play better. Just score more than the Pacers each game. Mr. Dolan, if you are reading this, please send me a couple of million for dispensing that sage advice.

We need to beat the brakes off of them tomorrow. Like seriously. Nothing less than a dominant effort from start to finish.

Well thankfully it was game 1 and not game 7. Team still has a chance to show some pride and do something about it

If the "choke" sign from Hali doesn't get to them, will it be because of "Coaches' Decision"?

If we lock in defensively from tip off we can easily beat them by 20+. They are not even in the same league as us when it comes to talent.
