That all got minutes on a playoff team, and this isn't counting the lottery teams with good 2nd round picks.

HUH?!?! I really don't understand what your getting at man. You need Amare healthy to win and take you to that next level. Amare isn't a luxury on this team he is a necessity. Now if you combine that with having Bargs it makes that loss a little less rough if he were to go down.

You can't play Bargs and Amare together. The D would be unbearably bad. One has to play with a defensive big, and it's tough to see how we're going to find time for Amare, Bargs, Tyson, another defensive big, plus give Melo minutes at the 4.

So your willing to trade Camby and 1st round pick for the likes of Robin Lopez, and Glen Davis, but not willing to trade the same for that same package for a guy that is better overall player than both those guys combined you mentioned. :nonono:

Both of those guys were better than Bargs the past 2 seasons, by quite a wide margin. Even when Bargs was good it's a close call because he gives you nothing on defense and doesn't rebound. Once you accept that hitting contested 18 footers is not a special skill, but just any other ability like defense or rebounding, it's difficult to see why Bargs is so much better than those guys.

Ok I guess I'm done with this debate with you. If you truly believe Robin Lopez or Glen Davis are better than Andrea Bargnani. :nonono:

More to the point, saying that Orlando Johnson is a solid example of someone who could be picked in the 2nd round, when he played 2 minutes/game in the playoffs is just off the wall crazy.

The next time one of the Knicks blocks a shot we should get mad that they didnt just go for the rebound and everyone should boo them yelling 'play some defense!'

This is my new philosophy, live by the wisdom of RealGM.

It's just the same people who want to make themselves feel more intelligent because they feel as though they've uncovered some sort of nuance about the game that has gone otherwise unnoticed.

1)Amare is going nowhere
2)He can't be relied upon to be healthy

So why not get someone that can
A)Replace some of that production.
B)Possibly give you more production.

Who knows what the lineups will be, but do you think Woodson would play Bargs and Amare together for long stretches? He would have a heart attack last year playing Novak and Cope together.

Coulda sworn he hit a few 3s against us, that might have been regular season, though.

Anyway, how about Darrius Morris? Festus Ezeli was also the 30th pick.

C'mon guy.
Andrea and Robin Lopez have so different skills (Andrea is better by far)
And in the last seasons Robin and Andrea had these stats:
10-11
Lopez 3.2 RPG 6.4 PPG
Andrea 5.2 RPG 21.4 PPG
11-12
Lopez 3.3 RPG 5.4 PPG
Andrea 5.5 RPG 19.5 PPG
12-13
Lopez 5.6 RPG 11.3 PPG in his best season
Andrea (totally out of shape and twice injuried) 3.8 RPG 12.7 PPG in his worst season.

Did you ever watch Andrea Bargnani playing?

Your reaching man. Darrius Morris will be lucky to be in the league in a few years. Your picking guys that minimal impact on the game. Many of those 2nd round picks or late 1st rounders don't stick on their teams and can be had in free agency.

This is my new philosophy, live by the wisdom of RealGM.

NBA players shoot 38% within 5 feet of the basket when Hibbert/Larry Sanders are within that 5 feet.

NBA players shoot 74% within 5 feet of the basket when Ibaka was within that 5 feet.

Blocks don't mean much, because chances are that block is going out of bounds and the other team still has the ball.

Again, ignoring that fact you had NO idea what the math was before you starting arguing as if you did, I'm not aware of the Knicks having given a draft pick away.

By including them in trades, they get back players.

Why can't you argue this point on its merits rather than moving the goal posts?
