The point was, picks are valuable, and the winning teams value them, no matter the position or round.....
It's not ironic that not only the spurs have tim duncan they also have had guys drafted in later spots who were solid contributors, acquire guys in later spots and develop them as their own.....it's exceptional scouting, development, and opportunity.
And some teams make the obvious picks that may or may not pan out.
The draft has been widely viewed as a crap shoot, but it's valuable.
In the last six drafts, the Knicks have traded away a third of their picks.
Of the eight selections they did make, seven players have been either traded, cut, or let go in free agency.
Shump is the only player on the roster who was drafted by the Knicks, and this was prior to TH jr.
