I always hated Melo on the knicks, but felt he conducted himself well off the court.

I thought he and lala had one of those agreements in this regard. Anyway, he got her pregnant - if this is true - and will have to deal with it

2010-2011 was nothing like this year. Karl wasn't on twittering taking shots at Melo, wasn't having reporters trash him and the team, and wasn't telling reporters Melo had to go.

I definitely agree that Phil's BS and drama he created, could have had a negative effect on the relationship. I don't agree with putting all the blame on Phil though.

Agreed and if reports of Melo having an affair are true I think we found out the motivation for the separation...

Multiple sources tell us ... the other woman often works at a gentlemen's club in NYC, and we're told she's claiming to be 6 and a half months pregnant with Melo's child.
We're also told she has made it clear to Melo she expects him to kick in for medical expenses and other baby related costs.

What a difference a year makes...

last year Melo won a gold medal and was being touted athlete of the year for leadership on social issues.... :noway:
