I have nothing against Booker. He's a pretty nice young player. Just not trading KP for him and an unknown pick.
Makes no sense to do that.

His switching is bad and sometimes late, his man to man defense is elite (due to length)
No it isn't. He sucks in P&R and gets lost on screens.
This is why I don't want him defending the perimeter. 1 on 1 on the block dude is fine. Especially if you try to face him up. That's what he's good at. That and he will swat your **** at the basket.
... ANYWAYS he gets some more time under belt, learns to read game, gets to know opponents more and he will rule the league. He is a winner that lacks in few areas but has passion, is hard working and has that confidence in himself - combo that is bound to success.
Only injuries can stop KP from dominating in time.
Only thing I don't like about him, he doesn't pass well and create for others.. if he could magically start playing like Jokic.. DAMN.

i don't want to make the trade for booker. but you can't pretend like he can never get better and assume it's guaranteed kp will.

If we trade Porzingis with Bledsoe as the centerpiece back then Adam Silver needs to pull a Stern and veto the trade, then ban Dolan for life from MSG.

Booker + 4 is not a terrible trade for KP...PHX won't give that up anyways
and my point still stands
so our goal is to get a "not terrible" return for our future franchise cornerstone?

Well I don't think Booker is all that, and I have Monk 3rd behind DSJ and Frank as possible prospects at 8.
So I guess I'm consistent
But I wouldn't do KP for Booker and 4 either

#4, Bledsoe, and Chriss or Bender is the only trade I could see being done between PHX and NY...Phil isn't getting Booker
at the end of the day, I doubt Phil will get the price he's seeking for KP

What in the wild world of sports would the Wolves trade with 7 for Butler? Haven't the Bulls already rejected #3 + future picks?

I can probably safely assume he'll never be a plus defender.

That's not OK. I'm just a fan. I'm just some guy who listens to every game on TuneIn. I buy merchandise. I love this game - this team, these players - as a reason to smile and enjoy my day just a little bit more. Finding a player, like Kristaps, who really livens up that side of my life in such a way that no player has since Patrick Ewing...it irks me, it stresses me, it makes me worry about losing one tiny part of my life that bring me joy.
Spot on man
It shouldn't! It's just basketball, but here I am, kinda angry about joy being stripped away from me yet again. It's my choice to continue the team-affiliation thing, and I do love the ups-and-downs typically, but the negativity and venom behind it this time just feels more awful than it has before. I like to think I didn't sign up for that when I fell in love with a team affiliation 25 years ago.
I hope the mind games that Phil, Kristaps, Janis, Charley Rosen...whoever...are playing on each other are simply a vehicle by which a stronger relationship will be forged. Even if it's a love-hate relationship, just something where I can not consider these past two years of excitement to be a total waste with a subsequent surge of disappointment. Play together. Win. Be passionate. Be positive. Enjoy the Knicks. Enjoy the game. That's the message these guys should preach to each other, not sniping about in-house politics. It's how I live my life, my business, my politics, and here I am as an idiot wishing his favorite sports team could live the same way.
Being a sports fan shouldn't cause me to worry so much. Time to get a grip.

From the Suns' perspective, I don't see how it would make sense to deal their two most valuable assets (at least) in Booker and the #4 for KP. They're a team still early in a rebuild and I don't see how a KP deal advances that end.

Pick 4 should have a bunch of guys not that unknown

What do u see us getting for him? Will Phil realistically be able to do much better than Booker + 4 in a trade? He won't even get that.

I was just saying this yesterday. Can silver veto a trade though like that? Please tell me he can be a savior and do this

Then there won't be a trade. Phil has the leverage here.

They won't include Booker. It'd prolly be 4, Chriss and maybe Bender. In a year we will regret this.

Re: Phil can GTFO now (he's wiling to deal KP) part II
i can not believe this bs. We finally found a generational player, a guy who is 7´3 yet can dribble and shoot like hes a SG and has DPOY potential defence. Yet were trying to trade him. For what? Josh Jackson is unproven and does not have the ceiling KP has. The whole point of drafting is hoping to find a player like KP. I swear, my loyalty to this pathetic franchise has never been tested more...
