Also, this judge was kind of the worst case scenario. Indictees facing future prosecution by Mueller are not likely to be so lucky.

HOWEVER

Trump is dumb, so I'm speaking from the POV of someone who knows how bad it would be for Trump to pardon Manafort. But since Trump still can't understand simple concepts like lawyer-client privilege I wouldn't say it is impossible for him to try pardoning people.

This whole situation is evidence of that. None of this would be happening if Trump didn't fire Comey and just waited 3 weeks for Comey to say that there isn't enough evidence at the moment to pursue a collusion case.
