In any case, Knicks can't give up Mitch or Dotson in a trade. They take up 3 million combined in cap space and provide two potentially solid rotation players albeit at the end of the bench if we turn into a contender.

I would give up Knox/Frank/DSJr and this year's first if it could mean we can have a Big 3 of Kyrie/Durant/Davis, or even Jrue/Durant/Davis

I think their offer is good but overrated. We can at least make them think. They’re getting a bag of Mirotic/Randle level guys. With ours they at least get a high lottery pick they could convert big on.

Mirotic and Randle are way better players than those three clowns they are getting. Kuzma is the best of the bench and he is a defensive liability. If this deal goes through, my guess is ex-Hornets management will be canned within a year or so. Most likely they will get a job under Magic because Lakers ownership are loyal.

Also if they turned down KP why would Ingram be so highly valued.

I hope the Lakers trade Kuzma, would be insanely idiotic.

Ingram really is a role player, Kuzma is better than him.

Because they aren't just getting Ingram. I guess our offer was basically KP and filler. The Pels get three young players, some cap relief, and picks.

Idk why Ingram is so valued, but health, being able to retain him (stating he doesn't want to be there), and Janis are a couple of reasons why I'm sure he was devalued to New Orleans

Maybe get a pick for Wes and throw that in.

2019 Knicks
2019 late first
2021 Mavs
2023 Mavs

4 picks competes with any offer. Add Knox for the 5th and final pick in a sense.

An offer worthy of strong consideration.

Then walk away.

Those picks are late first rounders. Their younger players arent that good. so it boils down to Cap space? KP > Ingram, ball and Kuzma. if you need to, toss in Knox to tip it over the scale then you do it if AD is going to sign long term.

Maybe they were scared off by his ACL, or him possibly bolting before signing an extension. Who knows.

Cap relief is massive for a team like New Orleans. They have one foot in Seattle practically. If they can cut costs going forward it makes them much more profitable long term.

2019 pick swap (gives them two shots at Zion)
2020 first rounder (since 2019 is a swap we can do this)
2021 better of Knicks/Dallas pick (if Dallas doesn’t convey the pick this year, make it better of 2022).
Choose between DSj and Frank. Heck get them both for all I care.
Knox
whoever else you want on the roster

For AD and Hill.

Would this get them to max status for this summer?

If not, it’ll get them close.

As sad as it is because of the NBA's popularity, but it's a very real possibility that NO didn't want to commit to a max for Kp to save money. They're also owned by the same people who own the Saints. They're the little brother unfortunately. They'd pony up for AD but KP isn't good enough to pony up for without the guarantee of Zion with him.

NOLA turned down KP cuz they know he's a twat (along with his brother) and he was never gonna re-sign in N.O.

My guess is KP was trying to get to either the Clippers (since it's LA) or Mavericks (Doncic & Dirk, plus Cuban is obssessed with Euros) all along.

This! you can throw in DSJ.If I am getting Kyrie I Dont want DSJ. I rather keep frank for defense. Kryrie, Kawhi, AD, Mitch, Trier, KOrnet, Kadeem, DJ. That wins your east.

This. Makes no sense. Ingram is ok but he's not real. Kuzma is a decent Player but not a future star. Ball??... I'll give him one more year to judge. Makes u think how the hell the Lakers swindle everyone. Either way, it feels good to be a Knicks fan right now, due to the level of competence shown by our gm.
Were positioned to potentially become an Eastern Conference destination. It has been too long for us Knicks fans. Cannot wait for July first. So we can hear Kyries answer to the media.

Funny how you advocate pettiness to the max when it comes to AD but when it comes to your brethren KP you advocate a franchise caving in to him (and his brother's) beck and call. And when the franchise refuses to do that, you are critical of the franchise (Knicks), the city (NYC), and it's fan base (us).
