I'm honestly not sure who the better options are right now
who's out there for us that would work better?
I think its guys like David Blatt or someone and Im unsold on him
Honestly JVG would be a much better option as a similarly styled coach. Mecca mentioned Joerger earlier. Many options in the college ranks would have higher upside. Mike Miller on our staff would probably be a better option. I just don't think bringing in a guy with a history of making controversial statements on religion, homosexuality, etc. would be the greatest idea right now in 2019 for a team with a major image problem.

for some reason Jackson is considered a controversial option
he did great in GS but apparently was difficult and rigid and uncreative in his offense
still Id be interested
clearly fiz should get the season though
there isnt a real downside to him losing
if we do we dont really screw up chances at free agents especially if we add Masai this summer
I personally checked out. Until we start having some fun and playing actual basketball I’ll come back.

It all came down to Melo, Lebron, et al. vs. Phil. Just like it came down to Melo vs. D'Antoni.
The Melo years - compounded by the Bargnani trade - is what set this franchise back as much as it did.
Miller played a significant role in building Westchester’s program. When he joined the team, the Knicks were in their second season and were coming off a 10-40 season. Miller brought more than 25 years of experience, including two years as an assistant coach with the Austin Spurs. He was named the 2017-18 G League Coach of the Year and players gave their thoughts on what makes him in detail with player development.
The Knicks experienced great success in the past four seasons. Westchester went 102-98 and made three appearances in the G League postseason. Nine players earned a combined 14 call-ups, while their nine call-ups in the past two seasons are the most in the G League.
Miller is a defensive oriented coach and has built some high level teams in the G League. Westchester ranked No. 1 in opponent field goal percentage (42.5 percent), No. 2 opponent points per game (105.0), No. 2 in defensive rating (102.3), No. 2 opponent points in the paint (45.0), No. 3 in opponent fast break points (11.6), and No. 5 in opponent points off turnovers (17.4) during the 2018-19 season.

And why would you, they seriously interviewed Kenny Smith for the job before hiring Fiz.
It's a joke.
