If this wasnt a favor to Obi to get him acclimated on his new team early, then why trade him now for this piss poor return? 2 late 2nd rounders 5-6 years from now, lol. We had another year of him under contract, hes a capable backup/spot-starter, and anything could happen injuries or trade wise.

This was 100% a favor. Obi may have asked for the trade himself, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he leaked that tape yelling at Thibs. Dude was done being a ballboy, and nobody should blame him.

We’ll have to see if we have any other move coming for OG, PG, or whoever though, because those guys can play backup PF too. Team is hopefully not done, or else this makes little damn sense.

We're gonna trade our picks this year for even more protected future picks

Eventually, we'll own 20 first round picks, all top 29 protected, eventually turning into future 2nd round picks.

What a ridiculous conflict of interest. Every move should be made for the benefit of the New York Knicks. Period. This entire trade is outrageous.

This is the type of trade that turns the narrative. If Randle gets hurt and Obi is killing it, we'll see how long Leon emains silent. Theres going to be a lot of pressure if this goes bad. The Knicks literally got a dogs--t return.

Knicks get 2 second round picks for Obi while the Suns get 3 second rounds picks + picks swaps for Isiah Todd who has appeared in 20 games in 2 years and gone 5-26 overall. Really unbelievable.......I would want a journalist to walk up right to the FO and ask how it is possible for them to get much less value for Obi in comparison to Isiah freaking Todd.
