do you guys think
1/ randle wants more than 4/182, but less than 5/304
It's possible. Siakam just received 4/189. Randle may see himself as a similar level player or better. Unfortunately he has picked up some baggage that has been attached to his name that Siakam hasn't and may not be offered the money he feels he deserves.

I doubt it for some reason. They seem to be looking for discounts anywhere they can find them and there doesn't seem to be a huge market for Randle where you would worry about another team maxing him out in the off-season imo.

Also possible. The last time the Knicks extended Randle he followed it up with that memorable 2021-22 season. They may not want a repeat of that again. It would also make it easier to trade him if teams don't have to worry about him locked into a big deal into his mid 30's unless he is willing to take a cheap extension.

I don't know. No matter how they feel about his fit or his future i'm sure there is some number below his max with either less money or less years where they would obviously be comfortable keeping him around or trying to move him later on a cheaper deal. I may worry about how he would react if he felt it was a low-ball offer though.

0% chance imo. Randle and his people have to know that no one is giving him the full 5 year max.
I just hope they figure out what they want to do with him between now and the trade deadline. I don't want to lose his talent or salary slot for nothing but I also don't want to be forced to keep him around if they don't think he is a good fit going forward.
