Look at how he attacks the closeouts off the bounce. Look at how aggressive he is in running the floor. You can also tell how quickly he can process things. He's making quick and sure decisions in this video.

He can space the floor, no doubt, and does well when hes attacking but if that's him at his most aggressive, JR and Stat don't have worry about any threats to their "second option" status. He's still charmin soft. An above average defense can easily take him right out of the game.

Obviously we have to wait for the games, but on paper Bargs compliments Melo better than Amare or JR.

I agree, I really like Bargs game.

Raps fan here. I've never seen anything like Bargnani in 25+ years of basketball nerdery, please be careful not to scratch the hair off your heads. Nobody knows what's going on in his brain-- but he can do pretty much everything on the court, on both ends, and I sincerely hope that he will actually do it all for you.

The Spurs are where they are because they value all their assets,
they have decades of history in such.

Miami is an expansion team and has more rings than the "storied" franchise and they have done it through solid trades, free agency and the draft, and if you're gonna lose...lose hard.

We had a 100 page draft thread....why? because we know the team needs help and the draft is one method of such.

I know this thread is severely OT at this point, and maybe thats good as it takes away from the topic which most dont approve of.

Like I had said previously it's been a while for a trade that most dont like at all.
the spurs traded us 2 1st rounders for Nazr Mohammed....the one pick became DLee...they did that cus they were in win now mode..just like us....

Just everyone remember ZBo when he was a Knick...How all of RealGM thought he sucked and was untradable..we were happy he was traded we didnt think he could be traded remember???

Fast forward to today we would take him back in a heartbeat..not saying this will happen with Bargs. The point Im trying to make is.... stranger things have happened......

Whaddaya know Bargs is in this classic!! He kinda even boxed out sorta!!

Yea we traded ZBo with Mardy for Tim Thomas and Mobley (didnt we get an exception out of him?). Then the Clippers traded ZBo for Q .

We traded Jamal for Al Harrington. Then the Warriors traded Jamal for Speedy Claxton and Acie Law. So their values actually got worse after we traded them until they found the right team. They both went on to be contributors after being crushed here.

Same thing with Lee, Nate, Gallo, Wilson, Frye, Ariza, TT, Barnes, Novak, Harrington, Felton, Nazr, etc. Guys who couldnt do much on bad teams but went on to help better ones as supporting players. And those are only some recent examples associated with the Knicks.

We can throw Sprewell and Camby in there too if you wanna go a little further back.

Meanwhile Malik Rose went from being a big time role player and winning rings for the Spurs to completely blowing ass here. Same with Eisley and Shandon coming from the Jazz. A lot of guys just need the right situation. Role players are more appreciated on good teams.

Bargs could easily do the same. Hes in a position to succeed now as much as he can. Playing with Tyson on D and Melo on O if he cant get it done here he never will. So why dont the people devoting 10 pages a day bashing the guy just wait and see what happens.

Probably more than 50% are coming from Raptors fans bashing Andrea but so much afraid to see Bargnani coming back to his preinjuries shape.

Melo had a ton. Like 1600 if you count the months leading up to the trade.

I mean pages BTW.

Yeah I still don't understand why people do that. If they hate him then rejoice that he's no longer on the team and let the team that got him hope for the best. This need to go out of their way to go onto another board to try to convince Knick fans that he's "utter trash" (most popular term from these people) does what? It sure does sound like they are trying to convince themselves that this was a good deal for the Raptors by trying to get Knick fans to agree with them. I mean talk about silly.

i hated the trade at the start, but I could never bash the player this long. He is on the team. We have to deal with it. He can play ball. I am always down for giving someone a chance. I can't root for him to fail. If he wants to be a new man, well now here is his chance. He does not make us worst from a basketball standpoint. He may not bring what I want in Grittiness, but he can do other things for us.

I'm Italian and I really think that Andrea can be a great contributor for the Knicks, but I appreciate so much your so normal fan's approach  : il Mago is a Knicks player and deserves his chances in NY.

"Clearly, Bargnani, the No. 1 pick in 2007, needed a change of scenery and won’t have the burden of living up to his draft selection. Bargnani, who had an injury-wracked 35-game season, seemingly is healthy and is scheduled to participate for Italy’s National Team in the European Championships, which begin Sept. 4. Gallinari is still rehabbing a torn ACL. When the Knicks drafted Gallinari, there were a lot of comparisons between the two Italians, and Gallinari has proven the better pro."

I have something to look forward to after the SL and b4 the season. We'll see what the current Bargs is capable of, and he gets some run b4 he plays for us. Seems like he's healthy.

As long as he doesn't get injured this will be great for him. Should get him into good basketball shape and ready foe the NBA season and training camp.
