The team will not only have Jersey heads but BK and surrounding boroughs ready to stake claim as an OG fan. They will never top New York Knicks but most certainly can be Giants/Jets and Yankees/Mets with the following strong enough especially with wins following. Now if you're telling if Melo goes to the Nets and they continue to be some gutter team why are we Levitra for him almost at premium costs?
Speaking strictly in terms of winning and losing, I can't see why Melo agrees to go to NJ when he could play next to Stat and Felton. The situation in Jersey is not going to be that much better than what he's dealing with in Denver. He'll have the same PG that's on the decline along with a SG in Rip who has taken a big decline in production as of late. Chris Paul? That knee is looking like a real problem as of late. So yeah, NJ might promise the ability to get Paul too next year but will that really be enough to make them a contender?
But for now, and the foreseeable future, Melo is going to be the only option for that team when it comes time to score in the clutch...sorta like he is in Denver. I'm not saying he's a Lebron type of guy, but we should consider that maybe he doesn't want to be "the man" and would prefer to play alongside someone who can take a lot of the pressure off his shoulders (e.g. Amare).
You can give all the reasons in the world why he'll be just as big a star in NJ and subsequently in BK, but do you really see a move to NJ being a smart move in terms of coming closer to winning a 'ship?
